I have been working on a car material collection for the freestuff section, and I am currently working on chameleon paint, and I wanted to get everyones opinion on this hard-to-replicate paint. this image here is of a chameleon paint job known as Violet Dreams. in this render, the light is above and infront of the car

This Render has the light to the left of the car, and a little lower than before.

as you can see, like true chameleon paint, the colors are not only view-angle dependant, but also light source dependant.

tell me what you think

About 1200$ a gallon, if I'm not misstaken. Not much compared to a 20,000$ car payment! lol Nice shader btw

Cool. On a related, non-virtual note, I've sometimes wondered why no one had developed a thermochromic automotive paint yet. Then today I heard about Trippin' LLC ....

A bit OT....They have paint for walls & spray paint that react to heat/cold. I've seen this on HGTV(I want that show). For example a faucet...when the water runs hot the faucet turns red/blue for cold. The wall paint is particularly cool. Changes colors based on heat & cold as well. Cool stuff :) I'm sure the 60's folks would have loved that ;) LOL

I've made them in Poser 6, they should work in poser 5, which will be tested soon!

Those materials are really beautiful! Do you have an ETA on when they will be in free stuff? Can't wait to get them! And TIA! :)

all I am waiting on now is my Poser 5 user to get back to me with the compatability of some of the more complex materials, then I will upload it into the free section. so not very long!
