Subject: How old are you? (Mostly OT)

The-Preacher ( ) posted Mon, 08 August 2005 at 10:05 AM

Here I am... brain the size of the planet and all they ask me is how old I am:) Kuro to be frank I'm not an RS fan.. but I wouldn't like to mention Ozzie... 'cos he's eaten too much bats... I never listened to Tarrega... Robert Fripp is rather my style.. but um.. is this a guitarist forum? Anyway.. don't cry 'til 98.. art is for everyone

Mind: racing between 10 and 35, with a significant peak at about 18. Hair: 50 to 60 - what's left of it is gray. Body: about 30 - still slender, supple and tough. Yippie! Calendar: 39

The-Preacher - exactly! ;) Maybe not Ozzy, but definitely Randy Rhoads! No bats in his diet. Francisco Tarrega - Spanish classical (listen to "Recuerdos de La Alhambra" - probably get it in MIDI just about anywhere gratis). We could mutiny and turn it into a guitar forum, right?

Ever heard the old advertisement jingle: "You're as young as you feel!"? Well -- it ain't true. You are as old as you are.

Actually it should go "You're only as old as WHO you feel" and by that scale I'm 31 since my wife is 15 years younger wicked grin

51, still ride a harley softail and play 12-string guitar,(though not at the same time), look out Stones. It is nice though to see other folks around my age who are addicted to playing with computerized paper dolls..heh I figure if life begins at 40 middle-age must be somewhere around 85 so I'm doing ok...except like EdW my body also rebels at times. I've had Poser since ver 1, just now getting around to learning it so I'm actually a newbie. Marque

Wow, this is some post. I am chiming in on the ID thing. I still get carded for everything. On my 21st b-day, the bouncer at the club I was trying to get into wanted to confiscate my ID, thinking it was a fake (how you fake a NY state driver's licence is beyond me...) I still get carded for smokes, beer, drinks at a bar, etc. I even get carded at sporting events for beer. And I too take it as a great compliment! Youth is sooooo wasted on the young. Hey, some of you younger crowd, pass some of those good years up the line! Who am I kidding, I am mentally 12, physically 30, and my back swears to me it is 85. Last week, I was at my company picnic. I played softball like I was 18 again, and a week later, I still paying for being a 30-year old Poser addict. And man the sunburn I got...But I ain't old!

After age 21, women tend to have crisis age years in even numbers (30, 40, 50, etc). Men usually go by when someone famous died.

Jimmy Hendrix died at 27
Jesus died at 33
Elvis died at 42
Albert Einstien died at 76

Lets just say I'm somewhere between Elvis and Einstien, but closer to Elvis.

And I still get carded. Of course, I insist on it...
