THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Bryce Hi-band, Lo-Band??

I am looking into Bryce, which many people seem to think is pretty good. I was given links to both of these. They are actually mentioned as separate "versions". Are they different in any way, or is it just some download difference? Thanks for any help.

just a download difference. I'm not sure but I think the low band is broken up into more files. I think.

OK. Thanks. They mentioned multiple SomethingOrOthers, but in words that sounded like they were trying to hide something! I use Download Accelerator Plus, which handles broken connections etc. SO I was not sure if this was all it was.

I'd be careful with download Accelerator at Daz. They recomend not using them. I tried it once and it canncelled all my downloads for some reason and I had to have them reset. I managed to download bryce on dialup took a while but not too bad. The actual programme isnt too big but then you have downloads for the content etc.

REALOldNick i am on dialup and downloaded bryce lo band, it is broken into 3 or 4 files which makes it easy for dialup users. I download the D|S on high band, 2 files one being 52MB. Like artbyphil stated be careful of using the download accelerator, i would recomend you turn it off and do the downloads without it. DAZ give you plenty of time to get the downloads.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

OK. Thanks for all the help. Really appreciated. I actually posted here because I sent an email to Bryce....with an extra "l" on the end of my email address....and of course had no replies...hhnnnnngggh!

As mentioned, the only difference between the Hi- and Lo-Bandwidth versions are that the Lo-Bandwidth version is broken up into multiple files for easier download for dial-up users. Do not use any download accelerators while downloading from DAZ. DAZ provides a warning prior to downloading that they need to be turned off prior to downloading. -darlisa
