Hello everyone. I am so excited to be going public after a month of being quiet. I am insomniaworks. I am the modeler in Team Guild3D. We are three developers who have known each other for nearly two years. I and the other two members of the guild are doing our best to do a job that is far too large for one person. We have formed an aliance to begin building what are in my humble opinion, the best products ever made:)

I am spending at least four times longer making these meshes than my earlier meshes. These meshes are high poly - I warn you - but the pay off is obvious. All of the Guild3D products will be of this quality.

The3dZone, is in charge of texturing these items and she is also going beyond normal quality standards for us. She is also in charge of all the Guild3D's promotion and store listings.

Grimjerk, is in charge of bringing these products to as many characters as he can with out having a brain hemerage. This first product, the Harajuku CheerGirl, will be made to fit AD/MD, V3, A3, and SP3 and some fbms and pbms will be added.

I believe, though this isn't writen in stone, that all the Guilds products will be influenced by the Harajuku Fashon comming out of Tokyo Japan. Why, because we are all big time anime fans and Harajuku is a way of bringing anime into the real world of fashon.

This is not a typical cheerleader outfit. It is a costume based on a cheerleader to be worn on weekend by a japanese girl to the Harajuku District, Tokyo Japan.

I and the team are discussing a Laura Conversion as well as Pom-Poms. The image is the AnimeDoll version.

Here is an example of the detail in our clothing. This is a close up of the high top sneakers. Those laces are real, they were not just painted on. Like I said before, we are talking high poly, but the pay off is this detail in the mesh.

Impressive! What shaping and posing morphs are in the mesh? Any chance of a wireframe view to see the detail in each part?

insomniaworks ( ) posted Fri, 12 August 2005 at 10:23 AM

Grimjerk is working on body morphs for the products. I have asked him to do some research on other top selling products and come up with a nice mix of pbms/fbms. I am sure that there will be plenty of breast morphs so don't worry, lol.

As far as a while frame of the mesh goes, I don't have any photos of that as of yet, but I will work on getting some made.
Also, I would like to mention that we have another product in the works that will follow the release of our Harajuku CheerGirl. This next product will be the "Harajuku Gothic-Lolita", and in my opinion, it is even more impressive than this product. The Gothic-Lolita is a Victorian dress loaded with detail and the dress length that stops just above the knees as in a little girl style of dress. It will include victorian boots also with little stalkings that stop right below the knees with little bows. I am working on the stalkings now and I will post a picture as soon as possible of the whole ensemble.

Here is a sneek peek at the Harajuku Gothic Lolita Dress, taht our team will be releasing after the Harajuku CheerGirl. This is only a prototype and the uvmapping isn't perfect yet, so it will surely look better than this when finsihed.

Requests have been posted at another forum requesting a Laura 3 version. I am in the process of retooling for L3 construction now. Here is the first render of the L3 version of the Harajuku CheerGirl.

Okay, here are the meshes. This is the canvis thigh high sneakers look like. They are high poly because of the laces, but well worth it in my opinion. There is a lot of art work there in those laces. The shoes or boots are also modeled with layers of fabric like a real shoe would be made - for instance there is really a tounge in these shoes modeled in and I have done all I can to bring out detail before this product went to texturing.

Here are the Top and Skirt, the panty is not shown. These are significantly less poly but still high enough to represent the detail I wanted in the models. The Top was split into material zones and the stripes are meshes also.

The skirt was a challange, much more here than meets the eye. The pleating is pretty much hand made with my own strange methods. It is in a sense two skirts in one, because I had to make individual outer pleats and inner pleats and then connect them to give it a very real look. There were no "automatic" methods of getting the pleats to look like this. Also, I would like to add, that I tend to not do much mirroring, that is I like to make my models a little different on both sides, you will find this in the skirt as well as all you see me do. For instance, this skirts pleats are not mirrored, they were modeled indivdually all the way around for asymetry realsim. I also modeled in the stripes in the skirt. Of course, stripes can be turned off by the user via material zones.
