Next time I will go a really dark site, as from my back garden there is a lot of light pollution. And then take a couple of days off as they get better after 12:00 midnight.

I am SO jealous. Two nights in the backwoods, and not one capture. Every single one missed the frame! LOL Great job on these. Are you using the EOS Capture program? (I forgot about it myself until last night AFTER I spent manually clicking the shutter all night. Set up your laptop, point the camera, kick back in a lawn chair and let it go. :) Rich

I thought about that, but I used an electric cable release and set the camera to continuous and left it taking a shot every 4 secs(as the exposure was 4 secs)I hardly missed a thing. Then transferred to a portable hard drive, using 2 1GB cards took about 1000 pics in about 2 hours then the clouds rolled in.

nice shots; I guess that next time you'll make greater pictures...I saw the shower from the top of an (astronomical) observatory and that was pretty nice(but I've made no photos)...The thing is - the best place from where you can make some nice pictures is outside of town and the link from above is pretty good in explaining this thing. take care!

I tried to see some, but it was a cloudy early morning. Nice captures! :)
