strange you should ask about the Wart Clinic. i've decided to enlarge it and expand it's purpose. how do you spell "hemeroid"? 'cause i work with a bunch of 'em and was thinking if we could remove those problems...then it would be a great place to work. thanks for the opinion...especially since you and Gerhard gave one that matches mine. lol
Completely confused about the Wart Clinic, but guess I'm better off not knowing. If "open edition fine art photography publisher" has given you money in hand, you are better off than most of us, and need not ask our humble advice. I tend to like the color version here, but what the hell! Is your style ordinarily color or B&W? Both have a Market. Your professional art director customers will anticipate a style. Which would you rather be noted for?
i like the b/w a lot better! i find it moodier than the color one. on my monitor, the highlights in the tree are just fine in the b/w version. i think the b/w version is way more dramatic and powerful...has a bigger impact on me. hey Gene...that's totally awesome about your tentative sale!!!!!! :) Way to go, bud! :)
@Misha - i actually have the contract signed but not the money in hand. lol as for what i normally shoot...B&W. have for over 30 years now and just prefer it. the market is limited but it's primarily in what i enjoy..."fine art B&W"...so i won't argue. :-) @ Brenda - not MY warts...i like them...it's other people's warts silly! lol you surprised me girl...figured you go for the color. when i flipped the coin it came up B&W...just because i have a two-headed nickle. lol @ Azy - hmmm...wonder if it isn't a monitor thing with the washed out tree? it shows a lot of detail here on my monitor. actually more detail in the B&W than in the color image...on my monitor at least. @ Cindy - lmao...just now noticed it says "warts" and not "whats"...as i'd been reading it. lol the series is actually two series of 4 images each. they've been chosen but the co. asked for a few more for possible future use. so i was thinking of this one and 3 others that i really like. @ Sheila - i think it was the moodiness of the B&W that i liked best. but didn't know if the mood was too "dark". is it? i misspoke...the sale is final...just don't have the check in my grubby hands yet. lol
I would personally go with the colour one. I find the B/W to be a little too dark. Yup, definitly the colour. Nice shot by the way!!!! #:O)
How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when
isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is
supposed to be fire and brimstone?

For some reason I find both versions of the image to be incredible ominous. The shadows seem to be alive somehow. Perhaps it is my over-active imagination. I think I prefer the color version, because I can imagine a person sitting in that last spot of light and color near the tree, as darkness falls to overtake them completely... An over-active imagination indeed!
Much prefer the colour one... The B&W lacks life the water even looks dead... The colours got a lovely shine to it and the textures are clear...
