I'm doing a movie in Lightwave using celshading. The characters I buy and the characters I create myself look great when raytracing, but the ones I make look poor when celshading. I need 3 characters custom made with textures, and no hair. All three are Asian (Japanese): 1) Female based on V3. I have 2 already, created by B-Man studios, which are beautiful. I need one more of that quality in order to complete my film. She's thin, small breasts, slightly malevolent. 2) Male based on M3. He's big, but not tone. Sort of like the guys on American Chopper. He's got a thoughtful quality and is introspective. 3) Male based on M3. Late 60s-early 70s. Frail but stands erect. Thin. The fact is, V3 characters run the market, but almost all of them have insanely heavy makeup and look like hookers. Almost none of the Asian characters have huge boobs, except for Xie (sp) who's obviously Chinese. Even though DAZ created M3, David, and the Freak, they only have 3 pages of male characters total. That's why I need these 3 characters custom made. I'm not looking for the copyrights so they can be sold to other people. Any takers?

I'm probably depriving myself of work here but have you tried creating your own custom characters? If you have a texture that you like, play around with the dials until you have a character you like the look of.

Yeah, I've tried that. But, they just don't turn out the way I want. Especially the big male. I can't seem to get him to look strong without looking like a freak (he's not The Freak...) Still looking. Minako by Black Star may work for the female...

For asian use Aiko with her realistic morphs @ 1 or wait for e-frontier to release their Japanese characters.

Hmm. Not bad looking. You aren't going to produce a similar version for M3? You might reach a larger audience with it... I'll check out Apollo Maximus.

I may eventually convert my "Ultimus" line to Unimesh versions, but not for a while yet. I have too many other unique characters and sets in the works ;)
