Subject: Looking for a web site with clothes

lostenigma ( ) posted Mon, 15 August 2005 at 7:41 AM ยท edited Thu, 09 January 2025 at 10:58 AM

Once upon a time, I stumbled onto a web site that had numerous uniforms - I think they were mostly for Aiko 3 and possibly V3. I know this isnt a great description, but I lost the site and have been unable to locate it. Do you know any site that carries a lot of (free) clothing for aiko 3?

YES OH YES! THANK YOU IRISH! Here's the story now. I was downloading 3d stuff at work (I'm 18 and worked at a church office for a pastor) and I thought this site had amazing content. I download at work because they have me doing office stuff and I had a lot of free time, not to mention a cable connection as opposed to my current home modem. They saw the file names I was downloading and accused me of downloading porn at work (For goodness sake, they thought Texture was a porn thing). They had this big intervention when I sat down and the pastor viciously assaulted me, screaming at me and throwing my CDs. I quit that day - $6/hr wasn't worth it, for the most part I worked so I could download to my heart's content. Needless to say, I called the people that funded the church and they are none to happy for the pastor flipping his lid without trying to understand. That's enough of my whining. I have about 700 megs of stuff to download all over the net to take care of what I lost at the church, and it's a big job for my modem.

Actually if you downloaded them at the office and used their cd's to burn them on their computer the pastor had every right to throw them and you out. Shouldn't have lost his temper, but should have let you know that it was not acceptable, porn or not. Marque

I can understand how alot of this stuff would look like porno to a church member who had never seen or heard of Poser.

Hell, if somebody treated me like that I'd go right home and sign him up for a few hundred porn mailing lists!

Lots of stuffage on that site is called fetish, what did you think he would think? If you are at work, you shouldn't be downloading on company time. And as pakled pointed out, there are always other ways to get online to get items. Can't really defend someone who says he worked to download items. Marque

"Actually if you downloaded them at the office..." True and he could have just as well sh*t canned you for accessing the website of some "rival" religion. He's the boss. His intemperate reaction though is dismaying for any supervisor, especially a "man of God" Hopefully, his boss had a talk with him and told him to chill.

Well, a lot of what I've seen available for Poser isn't exactly kosher from a Christian perspective. So many things for Poser emphasize the human body in a way that generally isn't acceptable to Christians. They believe that the human body is sacred because it(and the rest of the person) is made in God's image and, accordingly, should be treated with respect. Their idea of respect appears to stem from obsevations of how people react to each other generally. From what I've seen(and I've seen a lot), these beliefs attempt to promote the wellfare of society in general. They don't think that pictures of people partially dressed helps people treat each other better.

Don't get too hard on the guy's case, okay? He may have gone too far. I wouldn't know, since I wasn't there. That's my two cents.

I'll just say that yelling abuse and throwing things doesn't exactly reflect treating each other better or any other Christian value I'm familiar with though it does perhaps explain the Crusades. Also the Christian perspective on anything is not monolithic. Look at homosexuality. It runs the gamut from acceptance to "you'll burn in hell." I really don't think every minister of the Gospel is going to start uber-freaking over a filename and tee off on the dude(tte). This old boy just lost it, IMO and nothing in Christian doctrine excuses that, quite the contrary. If anyone wants to DL stuff at work, they should first get permission and second make sure the PTB know what Poser is and what one might encounter on a typical Poser site, which though it (generally) doesn't go beyond "artistic" nudity, will kill the whole thing. Be smart, offer to do some illustrations for the company brochures/ads/training materials or website. Once they see Poser as a useful tool, they may be more likely to accept it. NVIATWAS for the church newsletter probably wouldn't fly though.
