Attached Link: Steve Sanvitos Prop Blur Tut

This tut will illustrate how to animate an action packed airplane pylon racing scene. It will take 43 panels to finish and I am begging everybody to wait until I am done to post responses. Please for the sake of the tut continuity wait until I ask for questions at the end to post responses. The link is to Steve Sanvito's prop blur tutorial and is necessary for the completion of this tut.

IMPORTANT NOTE. I forgot completely that you have to set the first keyframe manually so click on the little plus mark on the left of the golden key and add a keyframe for your airplane in "all timelines". If you do not do this don't fret because I show how to repair the keyframe later on in this tut, but it is nice to have it right from the start.

I am assuming now that you know the procedure and will proceed to add key frames in the same manner until you are back at the start. The above procedure is how to get rid of a bad keyframe if you goof up like I did.

Great tut! Very in-depth and chock full of useful information. Thank you for your time and effort.
So, the next tut will show us how to slam the plane into a pylon exploding plane bits everywhere. Right?

So I feel your pain brothers....and sisters. I took me ALOT longer to upload it than it will for you to view it. Thanks xenic101. After doing battle with the Bryce animation gremlins for the last two days, I am really, really burnt. I do like a good explosion, but cannot promise anything right now.

Nice work. One observation. Rather than making multiple key-frames. I think you can just create one keyframe at the beginning (frame 0) and one at the end (frame 90)? Then use the "position spinner"(shown in Post #20) to move the plane from frame 0 to 90 and only set 2 key-frames? Then just use the "show tangent"command from the Paths attributes dialog and set your banking on the path rather than tweaking the plane on every keyframe. Thanks for the tutorial. Tom

Thanks hawkfyr. I will definitely have to give that one a try.

I'm rendering a Lightwave animation right now so I dare not open Bryce to check for sure.8 ) I haven't animated in Bryce for so long I could be wrong but I recall (In Bryce 4) a tutorial where you can do it that way. Tom
