Hello! I try to do a 45 second animation with 800 x 600 as resolution and 30 frames per sec. I tried to use the "full SinglePicture" "Codec" so I should have had the full quality. BUT...after days of rendering... all i saw was a black 45 sec videoframe... Than I tried to use the divx codec.... and there it is... THIS failure warning: "Error writing chunk to AVI file stream" I use a P4 3GHZ 1Gig of Ram and a ATI 9800 Pro and Poser 5 to render... Can anybody give me a hinte of what is going wrong? ...or give me an advice what video codec to use.... THX for reading Sickboxx

I used the divx codec on an animation the other day and the "Error writing chunk to AVI file stream" error came up so I rendered the animation as seperate images, to make the avi in a separate program like virtual dub.

Hmmm I thought that one up to! But for 1350 frames... THAT is a looooong road

If you save them as jpegs with a quality setting of 95, the files wont be too huge but they will still be good quality. I would render an animation that long as smaller seperate parts and join them together later.

DIVX seems to have a problem when trying to write too large a file. I have had this happen too and one solution is to write a smaller resolution file, ie 640x480. Also using a lower quality seems to help. The best bet is to render individual frames and use an external program to join them together.

Thx for the advices... i will try to cut the animation in pieces ... but under 800 x 600 is not an option... When it is done... It will be a small part in a game mod... i will post the result...! THX to Fazzel and xantor
