Subject: Multi Group Problem, Lightwave to Poser

1.After I group and mirror the shoe to the other foot, I rename the new shoe,s Groups. 2.But after I load the shoe in poser I still get the the left shoe's groups 3.How Can I fix this, couse the groups look ok in lightwave. Sincerly Manuel C

In Lightwave ( 7.5 and up ) groups are declared as parts ( View>selection sets>Create parts ) you must declare the groups for shoes with the exact same name as the body parts ( lFoot, rFoot, lToe, rToe ). For example when you make the left shoe: name the parts, mirror it and then in the polygon statistic panel (shortcut 'w') select the lFoot part, both shoes will highlight, deselect the left foot part and go to create part and give it the name rFoot, repeat for the toe group. Export to obj and say yes when LW asks if you want to export selection sets as groups. Groups have nothing to do with materials, however you must assign your uv map to the materials before you export to obj. You do not have to export the right and left shoe separately, it's actually better to leave them as a pair IMHO.

thanks i solved My problem, it was point selection set groups.
