Subject: Tutorial #1 - Carrara to Poser - The Very Basics

mapps ( ) posted Sat, 13 August 2005 at 9:40 PM · edited Sun, 01 December 2024 at 12:34 AM

This is the first of my tutorials for creating models in Carrara to be used in poser as the basis of a prop or figure. This is just the low res version (it's still 5 megs) the highres version and the supporting files will be bosted on Monday. The tutorail finished with adding textures that are supose to be with the file but are not there because they will be posted on Monday. But any square wood texture can be used or you can use Poser 5 or 6 materials if you are using P5 or 6. Other than that the tutorial is complete. It can be grabbed of my site using this link http://www.freewebs.com/mapps/downloadstutorial.htm or by pastingthis link into your browser. http://webzoom.freewebs.com/mapps/TUT%201%20Low%20Res.zip If you have any questions or comments post them here in this thread :-)

I took a quick glance at it yesterday, and it looks like it is just what I need. Thanks so much. Looking forward to #2, and beyond. Paul g

Hi: I tried to print the tutorial, but acrobat reader freezes. Not sure if it is a problem with the file or reader. I will try to download it again.

Downloaded it again at work. Printed fine there. Thoroughly enjoyable and educational tutorial.

Good to hear you are feeling better. I was thinking about posting today to see how that next tut is coming along. Hope you have a full recovery soon!

Sorry tut 2 still isn't finished yet, turning out to be a very long winded one.
