Didnt think it would be long for them to do this, Bryce is growing very quickly with a lot of 3D fans.

I got it from one of the other Brit mags, but it's something worth advertising..;) We used to have something called 'Computer Shopper' over here..it was the size of a phone book (actually larger), with such columns as 'Basic is the People's Language' (could I make that up?..;) I think it still comes out..but it's a wee bit tinier..thanks for the jog down memory lane..;)

Yes, one of the 3D magazines had it. I don't know which of the Computer Shopper magazines came first, US or UK, but it is but a shadow of its former self. There don't seem to be as many companies selling the computers, and buying the advertising space. Even the good writers seem to have quit and gone on to fresh fields and pastures new. When I finally got the wrapper off, and found the details, it doesn't seem to be such a wonderful offer. And the prices for European customers seem a little high (though there are taxes involved). There's something about needing the disk to be in the drive when you run the program.

Bryce 4 required you to have the installation CD in the drive the first time Bryce was launched. After that the CD was not needed.

the mag i got bryce 4 off was 3d world(November 2004 issue). with that one you only needed to install bryce 4 and then you could use it without the cd being in the cd-rom.

I have opinions of my own -- strong opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.

You will also need the CD in the CD-Rom when installing the patches too. Tom
