Anyone heard anything about when it will actually be up for download? Or am I missing something. Been waiting for it all day, has it come out yet? Marque

Gee Marque, why do you want their new model? Don't you find the guillotine a highly useful model for nearly all Poser situations?... (goes great with Kazuburo's hair...)

I get every one! Even the simple ones may have a use someday. Heh. I've also bought many of their models over the last year. Vic and Mike are their best, though the mermaid is still my favourite. She was my first. :) Greywolf

I just got a look at the /poserfree FTP area. The file is KIDS.EXE -- Cartoon Kids.

They look like offspring of the ProPackPeople. Cool.

My thoughts exactly ... MY kids are going to love these.

Didn't you get the guy on the end at Bbay? lol He looks a little sad. Marque

wyrwulf ( ) posted Sat, 24 February 2001 at 8:18 AM

The guy on the end is sad because he got stuck babysitting for the last 5 hours while the guy on the left was out looting and pillaging.

These free characters are just GREAT! They also still have all the facial morphs used by Mimic ;-))) It`s very amusing to watch them lipsynched. Work great in the Walk Designer also. This expands the Poser variety pallette yet further. My very grateful thanks go to DAZ !!!!!

Marque ( ) posted Sat, 24 February 2001 at 10:32 AM

Yes, Daz has dazzeled me again. lol Marque

nitreug ( ) posted Sat, 24 February 2001 at 1:17 PM

Yes the guy at the end is OSIAN from BBAY. As Sammy and DeeDee are cartoons, they never sleep and Osian is fed up to play all day long with them. They just ask him to play cowboy. But Osian is a cartoon also. SO.

Marque ( ) posted Sat, 24 February 2001 at 1:29 PM

Yup, I have him too...he is so cool I had to get him! lol He does a better job babysitting the raptor though. heh Marque

I am glad to hear that you guys like the freebies. We built these at the same time that we built the Pro pack people so they fit right in with them. After seeing them completed yesterday we decided that we want to have a contest of some sorts based on these characters. We will be asking for submissions of images and possibly animations as well. Maybe we can have winners in different categories such as best story, most original idea etc. I am just brainstorming here so I would love to have your feedback. Please email any ideas to me at dan@daz3d.com. We are also willing to sponsor prizes for winners. Please send me your ideas. Dan Farr

Yes, a contest to recognize ANIMATORS would be nice for a change. Doing almost ZERO still work, it's easy to feel slightly left out here on Renderosity at times for me and the other two (ha-ha) animators here. Since animation (good animation that is) takes infintely longer than most stills, you should probably have a longer deadline for the animation contest. IMHO. -Tim
