Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
I've just started using the new Blacksmith3D for morphs. Seems promising. VERY promising actually. Best part is, it makes the cr2 and everything for you :oD

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I use magnets too - they're free, they're integrated with Poser, and they can affect more than one body part. *And* they make the CR2 for you. ;) If I want to do something that magnets can't do, then I use [Anim8or](http://www.anim8or.com/), a free modelling package. It can work on OBJ meshes at Poser's native scale without problems. However it can only really process one body part at a time - although there are ways round this, they're inconvenient. Blacksmith 3D is at the link. One day I'll find the time to try out the demo.I have been playing a little bit with the demo for Blacksmith3D. So far, I am very impressed. I haven't had time to really explore it in full, but it does hold some incredible potential, especially for the price (Suite 2.0 is $149USD.) I still haven't tried the painting directly to the surface, but that really excites me.
Remember ... "With Poser, all things are possible, and poseable!"
cheers,

I like ZBrush for making morphs. Anim8tor, Metasequoia LE, or Wings, are free modleling apps. Check the links at the top of the Modling Forum. You can do a lot in Poser by using magnets too, about 75% of my morphs are done with magnets. My "MirrorMags" in the Free Stuff can help to make symetrical morphs on opposite sides of a figure.I like Blacksmith :oD

Ok, I'm about at my end here with making Morphs. Let me ask this question to those that make morphs on a regular basis, what program do you use? I'm tired of having to do so many work arounds depending on the software, is there one that handles the obj files properly back and forth from Poser? Or am I dreaming? :) I'm interested in anything at this point, cost isn't a real issue. - Noel
