**DAMAGE!** We all have it, somewhere in our environment. A leaky roof, a scorched stove top, and banged up front door. Show me something of yours that has some damage! This damage happened to my car while it was parked outside of my office last Thursday. A wheel (yes, the whole wheel) flew off a passing car, grazed a passing car, rolled down the road, jumped the embankment, landed on my car and then hit the car parked next to mine. The cop said he's never seen anything like it. It is going to get fixed, but the damage was estimated at around $1500 because of the scraped up hood and windshield and dented fender and A pillar. Never a dull moment....

Okay, I didn't know what to photograph and I haven't done one of these for a while. So here is my damage. My kitty got her butt kicked last Thursday. She has bites on all four legs, down her tail, and on her back. This view is the most damaged part of her. The vet thinks the puncture hit an artery. Anyway, she is okay....scared me for a bit though. So this is my damage. Hope it counts. :) Kort, that is a weird accident. Never heard of anything like that! Glad it didn't hit any people. Ouch! :)

Sure does! Sorry to hear about your kitty, I hope she heals up quickly. It was a wierd accident. The mechanic forgot to put the lug nuts on the wheel of the car and the driver didn't notice. I'm sure he did notice though when the wheel flew off. Uh huh, very lucky that no one was hit.

WOW!!! Talk about bad luck Kort!!! And the same goes for the rest of ya as well....but....Damia...yours is really the one that hits closest to home for me. Not just because i just lost Obi, but also cause my worst "damage" ever was when our dog Zacko got hit by a car and we spent 10 monts and ****** dollars on operating on him....and in the end we still had to put him to sleep. #:o( This is one we of him just after going through his first surgery. He here has a steel-plate inside his leg to keep all the pieces together. And through his leg he had his "thing" to keep the plate stabil...sigh. He was such a trooper.

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Oh man, that hurts to see that, and such a sad story. Much worse than a few dings to an inanimate object. =(

Anyway, here's my damage. I tried to edit the other msg that I'd already posted but it wouldn't let me put a pic in. Sooo... This is my damage.. I absolutely LOVE my car, so I did cry when this happened! I had to lock her up when this idiot pulled out in front of me, because I didn't have time to gear her down to stop. Then as I was putting her back into gear and giving that guy a thorough cussing out my open window (his was open too), this retarded Domino's Pizza driver chick just slams into me from behind, full speed (about 40 mph). Needless to say, her car was totalled..my only solace. She didn't have insurance (of course, go figure), so now the damages to my car and my back are in court, being billed to Domino's because they were liable, since she was performing her job at the time of the accident. Anyway, long story short, my father-in-law had her fixed for me, but I'm still completely ticked, and now my back hurts all the time.

Awwwww....what a beautiful dog, Andreas. I'm so sorry about your losses. :( hugs Pascale, love that color. Looks like it makes a nice warm glow. :) 3DGuy, that looks like it hurt. Scary, too. Kristanene, sorry to hear about your accident. People can be so....well, I won't say. There are so many horrible drivers out there though.

I really hadn't intended for this to be such a dark thread, but I guess people need to talk about these things and that is cool. Tough break there Krista, I hope your back starts feeling better soon. Those injuries can be some of the worst, especially when they linger.

Only thing I have damaged around house is this little birdhouse. Must fix.I don't like having damaged things, so either they get tossed or I repair them right away. Squirrel knocked this all about.

this is the best i can come up with. can't see the damage, but our brake light went out last week. usually a job you can do yourself, but VW makes it very difficult with this model. the very nice man here was just gonna change it for kemal in the parking lot. he told kemal he'd do it for free 'cause it was so easy...well, that is until he got into and realized it was gonna be 30-45 min. job. silly.

Kort...good thing you weren't in your car. Yikes!
Rinze...Ouchy!!! you ok, bud??
Andreas...couldn't look but a second. That was a little much for my weak stomach this morning. Poor guy and what he went thru. :(
Damia, glad you're kitty's gonna be ok! poor thing!
Krista, glad you have a lawyer! Hope you're seeing a doc about your back and billing Dominos for that as well!

My 'crash' was just a small one.. I just took a left and my rearwheel broke out. Couldn't have gone more than 16kph/10mph. So all I got was a sore ego, aching muscles and a abbrasion on my leg.. aside from the small damage to my bike :)

Unfortunatly its not possible for me to document that severe decease that me and Modesty refers to as "Renderosity-damage"...it seems as our swedish is suffering due to the fact that we spend too much time commenting and replying in english...sigh. I found myself writing my emails at work in swenglish...which is rather embarrassing i tell ya. sad.gif

this is my dog, he is a boxer that we got from the boxer rescue organization. apparantly, as a puupy he was beaten and his jaw broken, which caused it to be permanently twisted. animal control took him away from his former owner and put him ni the pound, the day before they were going to put him to sleep, a nice old woman came by and said she wanted him. she is the owner of the boxer rescue orginization. she gave him to us when he was about 1/2 a year old. he is now about 4 yo. as you can see, his tongue hangs out because of his twisted jaw
