I'm pleased to introduce Xie Reborn, Realistic Chinese Beauty. The original Xie hit the marketplace in a big way, as one of the very first and still only realistic Asian characters out there. With Xie Reborn, everything has been refined and retooled to make her even more realistic, including a new, modelled epicanthic fold! Her skin tone was carefully constructed, and the texture was painstakingly modified to fit the exact requirements for her specific morph shape, even going so far as to have seperate (matching) maps for blinking, as well as an INJ morph to make her blinking more realistic.

Xie Reborn comes with carefully balanced photo and hand painted texture maps.

• Eight seamless head maps at 3500x2379 (Base Head/Blink map, 5 Lotus Make Up styles, 1 Normal Make Up Style )
• One seamless body map at 2625x3500 (Base)
• Five eye colors in ten eye maps (left and right) at 550x550
• Three INJ/REM poses (INJ Xie Base, INJ Mascara Lash, INJ Blink Morph)
• MAT poses (1 base MAT file, 5 eye MATs, 1 Tone File, 8 Head MATs)
• Six Expression INJs (5 Expressions, 1 Zero file, works with any SP figure)

Xie can go from innocent teen to sultry seductress with just a click of a button, with her 5 included expression morphs. I am happy to announce that Xie Reborn's epicanthic fold is fully modelled for extra realism and accuracy. Literally an entire week was spent on just Xie's eyelid creases to make sure they fell evenly and realistically, and I even went so far as to have a wonderful Native Born Chinese Mainlander help me by modelling his own eyes open and closed.

She requires Stephanie Petite and her head morphs, as well as the V3/SP International Beauties morph set available at Daz3d . Due to the requirements, I've kept her price low, so that you, the potential customer, will be able to more easily enjoy her as much as I enjoyed creating her. Please note, if you installed the International Beauties update pack, compatability with Xie may be effected greatly, as Daz3d has apparently changed the morphs that Xie uses drastically.

Last but not least, my heart felt thanks go out to my dear friends Mr. and Mrs. Li for their tireless efforts to help me make Xie as lovely as she is, as authentic as she is and to inspire me enough to finish her. You two were the driving force behind the original Xie, and you two have kicked my butt into finishing this one.

Current owners' purchases have been updated, but they will not overwrite the old files.

Khrys, two questions. First, could you list the specific morphs you use from the International Beauties Morph set? Second, do you know of any way to rename either the original morphs or the updates so that Xie won't break (or bend inappropriately)? I have the original pack installed and intended to install the update, so it might be easiest to rename the folder containing the updated morphs, but I'm not sure this would work. Thanks, Gary

Gary... there's been no breaking or bending. The latest update works perfectly with Xie Reborn. DAZ3d accidentally put their V3 morphs into the S3 folder in a previous release, but they've since fixed it. I've been using the latest update for a while, now. :)

I've been using Xie in a project and she's perfectly lovely. She bends fine as far as I've seen and her face is just gorgeous (and her lips, aieee!). I did go to DAZ and reset my International Beauties purchase to re-download the morphs, though, just to be sure (I couldn't remember if I'd gotten the update when it was first released or not sigh). I unzipped to a temp folder and then just copied the corrected morphs over to my Poser directory, over-writing the exsiting ones. bonni

The update I'm referring to that caused the problems was the one in, I want to say... January of 2005. And they fixed it in maybe March of 05. :)

I remember the update. I just couldn't remember if I'd downloaded it or not. I think I did, but my memory isn't what it used to be so I just did the reset and downloaded again. It's okay, I'm on cable with unlimited bandwidth... ;-P (I know, I know, rub it in... heheh) bonni
