Aw - it's really cute. Yes there's been some wonderful freebies. Did you see the city? I couldn't believe that one was free. Well a kids comic sounds like a really great idea. Very cool. Love esther

MY ONLINE COMIC IS NOW LIVE

I aim to update it about once a month.  Oh, and it's free!

Oh wow!...I can have a lot fun with this. :-)

skee ( ) posted Wed, 24 August 2005 at 8:23 AM

I just downloaded Patch the parrot and it won't work in poser pro. It causes the program to lock up. Also there is a funny thing happening to the left foot, one of the toes shoots off in to space. Anyone else having this problem? skee

The parrot says it is for Poser 6, so that's probably the problem you're having with it in Poser Pro :-(

skee ( ) posted Wed, 24 August 2005 at 9:56 AM

Thanks, elzoejam, I guess I should learn to read, sorry. Maybe someone else will see this and not have the same problem. skee

Hey Skee, For the heck of it I just tried it in PP and you're right..flying toes and locks the app. BTW the render doesn't look too good in PP. Lots better in P6.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Propack didn`t lock up when I tried patch but I did get the toe problem, it is funny because scratch the cat works perfectly in propack.

pakled ( ) posted Wed, 24 August 2005 at 11:05 AM

Scratch works fine in Propack for me..but I didn't look at the toes too closely..dang..have to ..uh..
The parrot is NO MORE!..it has shuffled off it's mortal coil....;)

I am working on a small set of P6 Material Sets for the parrot...should be ready this afternoon. --Rebekah--

A nice freebie from CP would be some more male and female figures that work with the Pose room. Jessi is terrible there. Just is better IMO, but still not too great. I haven't tried the men yet, but I am just assuming they cannot be a whole lot better. I think it is great that they are releasing a large number of models, but I would really like to get what I thought I paid for in the first place. (I hope this doesn't sound too much like whining, I have just had some bad experiences trying to work in the Face Room.)

"I am working on a small set of P6 Material Sets for the parrot...should be ready this afternoon." Rebekah, please let us know where to get those materials for the parrot. By the way I finally did get the Gryphon you guys made, way to cool!

I'll take a look at in ProPack this week and see what is up with it. Didn't check it in PP since it was for P6. BTW--here are the material settings that I was messing with....

xantor ( ) posted Wed, 24 August 2005 at 4:34 PM

The propack problem with the foot looks like a joint problem.

sixus1 ( ) posted Wed, 24 August 2005 at 4:47 PM

It isn't a joint problem so much as it is tht ProPack doesn't 'like' when bones are 'out of order'. I have some things to do, but I can reorder the bones/bodyparts this evening and even set up ProPack friendly materials in another CR2. --Rebekah--

BTW--here are the material settings that I was messing with....

I rather like the top-right one ... throw in some patches of red and blue among the feathers, and it could be a younger version of Captain Corroboc from Foster's Spellsinger saga.

Any new info on parrot/PP compatibility issue ?

Sorry that it took longer than I had wanted. I started taking a new medicine the other day that has made my brain feel like it was being eaten from the inside out by large munching crunching beetles. --Rebekah--

Sorry to hear that you're not feeling very well. The more I admire you that you managed to get us fixed Patch :-). O Mighty One ! ;-)

Is the replacement Patch CR2 still available? The link above
just gives me a "file not found error". Scratch, Squeaker and
all the other Content Paradise freebies seem to work OK for me
with Poser 4 (with a little tinkering), but the parrot has me
defeated...
