Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 18 7:53 am)
Hi Fulvio,
First of all, you are welcome and I thank you for the compliments.
re: "... or do I misundertood something?"
No, you did not misunderstand anything.
You are correct. The imported object (head) will be far from the origin in Wings.
It is NOT a good idea to move an object from it's original imported position because it can be next to impossible to put it back to it's original position before exporting. If it is not in EXACTLY the correct position, the MT will not work. The figure will appear to explode when the MT is applied.
What to do ...
The best way is to use Wings "Aim" (See Page 14) function so that the camera keeps the head in the center of the screen.
An easy way to do this is ... select the entire head and then "Aim" the camera. Now the head is in the center of the screen. Zoom in and pan and rotate the camera as desired without ever moving the head from it's original position.
After you have made your MT, just export the head and ... Walla! ... You have your MT for use in Poser.
Here is where this method is described in the tut.
On Page 8, it says "... There is an easier way ... "
See Pages 11, 12, 13, and 14 for the solution to the problem.

Hello, first of all I would to thank you for your precious tutorials, very well done and very useful! The question: when I export the head with "As morph target" checked, it still appear in Wings far from the zero position ( the origin )... or do I misundertood something? Thank in advance for your explanation Fulvio
