I don't have a good answer to your question, but the octopus in the second photo appears to be liquefying.

I've seen the episode in question and the Kaled mutant isn't per se, melting. It simply has no substantial skeletal structure to support its mass, so, like the Martians in H. G. Wells' famous alien invasion novel, it surcomes to gravity. Production-wise, The goop is just there to make the thing more repugnant. Some fan theories suggest it's simply a lubricating slime to keep the creature from drying out and crack its epidermal layers, rather like a slug's mucous. Its pale color is due to an intense shaft of sunlight shining upon it for the first time in its hate filled existance. Can you tell I'm a "Doctor Who" fan? ;-) Sincerely, Bill

I almost suggested in the other recent dalek thread for someone to make a kaled, but it looks like it would be a lot of work to get it right.

Of course, if someone's design varies somewhat from the puppet displayed above, it could be easily rationalized it is yet another divergence in the Kaleds' continual mutation. Sincerely, Bill

Davo made a Face Hugger which may be adaptable. Dunno where his Freestuff is these days, though.

Davo`s freestuff is at beyond bent. The face hugger isn`t in the freestuff but it wouldn`t be right for a kaled anyway.

No but it would look great in some nice "Aliens VS The Poser Robinsons" scenes. If anyone finds the Face Hugger again. Point me in that direction! o.O Oh and just to stay on Topic! That Dalek Travel pod looks fantastic!
