well, here's something i wanted to show. i just don't know how to make the picture turn out any better. it's a cassette tape. no...i did NOT take that picture that's on the cassette. i tried takin' a picture of the cassette and it looks terrible. *sigh*. I don't know what to do. but i wanted to show it since this month is about nostalgia...and it's a challenge. well, hell...what a challenge this shot was. any ideas guys? anyway...that's my mom and dad with my Aunt Pearl and Uncle Junior. Aunt Pearl and Uncle Junior have both passed on. I have a lot of wonderful memories of their gospel bluegrass music! Talk about some good jammin'!!! Anyway, this entire challenge has made me so sad. :( I'm tryin' to make pictures that aren't sad but it's hard.

know what you mean... contemplating many of my grandmother's things for the challenge which bring back good memories to make this better i would combine it in more of a still life... add a few more objects (anything to do with bluegrass? a musical instrument perhaps) so it's not so focused on a photo taken by someone else (have been messing with one similar) :]

Nah...i don't have anything else like that. wish i did. my grandmother (aunt Pearl's sister) used to also sing in a gospel group with 2 of her daughters and some cousins of ours. sigh...wish i had a pic. well, maybe next time i'm at my folks' house i'll try your suggestion Cindy...photography this, along with Dad's guitar, keyboards and other stuff...and mom's tambourines...see what i can do. thanks! :)
