NEW TO POSER HAVE BASIC 6 WITH LINWHITE PRIMAL BACKGROUND. WHICH ADD-ONS WOULD BE BEST? SOME KIND OF HAIR OR SKIN GROUP?

xantor ( ) posted Sat, 27 August 2005 at 3:14 PM

The add-ons you use depend on what you want to do. There are quite a few add-ons for poser.

The best advice... go over to Daz and get V3, M3 and A3, the base figure is free. You will have to buy the head and body morph packages in order to get a useable figure. Then scour the free area here for textures and figures etc that may strike your fancy. check the store. So the same at runtimedna. For hair, Kozuboro and Maya have some of the best going, free. There is not a whole lot out there for the stock P6 figures. Most important, play and have fun. Don't be afraid to experiment.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

It all depends on exactly what kinda picture you want to make. Then have a look in the freestuff here for some of the stuff you'll need.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.

Your "must-have" is rather "must-learn" at the moment. Try to learn how to use base figures, clothing, props, lights and so on (in other words, how to play with stuff that's already included in P6) and when you'll get a hang on this, you'll know what are things you're interested in - hence, what to obtain.

Vilians advice is the best, learn first and then decide what you do or dont need.

http://www.e-frontier.com/article/archive/318/ indeed, lots of great tutorials. add to these Geeps and you get a good idea of what poser is, and can. But indeed: grab what's free. Here, at runtimedna, at daz3d... And buy what inspires you. But beware: it often becomes an addiction. And once you're hooked, there's a very cold turkey waiting if you want to kick off...

I have tried prudent planning long enough. From now I'll be mad. (Rumi)

But be carefull, don't save all your downloads in your poser dir, store them in downloads otherwise poser will slow down. You have to learn what you will use in the future more often and whats only in the stocks for until now unknown reasons. these items you can store in seperate runtimes, explanation how to do you will find here in some threads
