I don't know where else to post this so I apologize for being completely off topic.

I accidentally clicked something..a little checkmark during one of these pop ups about downloading files to your computer...and now when I direct click, it automatically downloads to the temporary folder instead of asking which folder I want to dump it into. How do I change it back???????? Please help me, I got my eye on things at Daz and here at the MP...please help!!! It's getting tedious to do right click and save target as... I want my direct click back!!!!

I have IE 6, no download managers.

The actual steps I took:
normally what it does you click on a download button, it pops up a box, then pops up to save it here blah blah box, then it pops up the downloading box where it tells you how many kbs, how long it's going to take. Well I clicked on the FIRST box on the left side...I think I was trying to click it to make it stay open only I wasn't reading it and I was so tired and it no longer pops up the second box.

I've tried resetting the IE back to default settings, didn't work... wahhh...

Hope somebody can help
Kazzy

thanks, I'll keep that in mind if I ever do that again. I did a systems restore which solved the problem. Thank you for your help and sorry to bother. Kathy

No problem. It happens often enough that the question and answer once in a while keeps it in memory.
