Hi folks....Yeah I know a lot like adding some html to these threads. I do too in certain cases. And I know I have sent mini tuts out to those who did not know how.But I guess we should limit them to maybe special occasions...and to be real sure of the code you are using.
If tags are not closed off in texts.with < /font > or tables not closed of with the slash it will create chaos and make the thread look terrible.
I don't want admin to ban all this so hope we can keep it contained.

Naw... andreas..yous eem to have control over those emoticons..Not sure about what happened on your table with colour in pimbotins thread. Maybe you forgot to close the tag off and it will enlarge the rest of the page underneath. Tables can be really confusing. I have to have a look at the source again and see if I can pinpoint what happened. I've seen worse in here though.:)OT a sec...Saw a real cool new building in Sweden in our newaspaper. Some sprial tower. If close to you ..go take some shots. heeheheee

Oh really? Google google google...never heard of such a tower...we do have one that looks like a mushroom though, lol. Googling for that tower now. #:O)

Hi Doug and Andreas :D Doug, maybe we could only stop using tables... i mean, we can still use html to put in links right ? That building is seriously cool btw !! Maybe you should indeed go and take some shots Andreas !! :o) Thanks for the link there Doug !

Jeroen....I am not saying we cannot use html...but for images and marquees,tables,etc.....It is advised to make sure that the coding is right. Close tags....if you do an edit....remember that many times the original typing disappears so it will mess it up. Best to always preview the post before entering it if anyone is unsure of html coding. I like doing this,but if it goes out of hand admin may disable it. Don't want that.

There is a proposal for this same architect to build a twisted building like this along the Chicago lake front. There were artist drawings in the newspaper a couple weeks ago. Most think they cannot raise the investment money. [I've not tried this!] If you write bad html, will the Preview Post" button catch it?

Probably won't show entire paage, but right after if you click Post Reply....then have a look.If it is all messsed up best to click edit again.Or sometimes clicking back works too ....then delete out the html used.

I tried to find what is still wrong in my thread, made a local copy of the html document and tried it. The problem disappear when you suppress Andrea's blue section (Sorry boy!). I've looked at Andrea's code and the reason why the document is corrupted is obvious: The main table is closed just after the end of Andrea's cell! His cell (each cell contains an inner table) is finished by a double closure of all the tags (TD, TR, TBODY, TABLE). The effect of that code is to close the outer table, as we can see on the screen. What the heck did he do to get that result??? I really don't know... Will it solve the problem if he just delete his faulty cell, only a RR programmer could tell this... If you read this, Zack, please, try to delete your blue stuff! We will know if we can easily repair a document that way! Thanks...
