Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 20 6:12 am)
It's definitely weird. If there are any other programs where the "save" command doesn't work, you have to do the wonderful OS X drill: run Diskwarrior, repair permissions, check for bad fonts, re-install the software, re-install the OS. It was never this bad in OS 9, but unfortunately they didn't write Poser 5/6 for the obsolete OS.
Well, thinking it might be a OS problem, I went back cleaned out the drive and installed 10.3. After installing everything it is working fine now. I put some DAZ content in last week(forgot about that) that I am now scared to install into my runtime folder but I think I will do it cause I have to know. If that's it, and i doubt it, I'll warn everyone. The crazy thing is is that it is happening on my G5 at work and my iMac at home so it's probably either a new software update or those DAZ files.

Ok, so all of a sudden, Poser on both my iMac and G5 (os 10.4.1) will not save files! It stopped working in version 5 so I upgraded to 6 and same problem. The only thing I can figure is something in a recent apple software update is causing it. I can't find anyone else with this problem on the web but since it is happening on both my machines I can't be the only one. What happens is I go to save and the file menu stays highlighted but no save window appears. If I click on the desktop, the save window appears above the poser interface but is grayed out. If I try to hit save, it dissapears and poser locks up. I then have to force quit. This happens with any file, even an empty one. Help!!
