I've posted a painting and poem in dedication to victims of Hurricane Katrina at the given link.

It seems trite; I wish I could do more being so very far away from the disaster. The pain remains.

Thank you for sharing that hanevi! My mother in law has been staying here with us until yesterday because she lives in New Orleans. It's been a very trying week, and why I've not been around much too.

I'm sorry to hear that, Dido. I do hope you'll pull through with all the pressing responsibilities.

My cousin and his wife, just about escaped, but others haven't been so fortunate, and I keep feeling this terrible groan from the earth that defies words and colours.
