The upgrade is the same as the regular version. It just checks for the milgirl OBJ before it installs. IOW, it's just a discount for those who own the earlier version. They did the same with V3, M3, the Millennium Dragon, etc. If you own the original version, you can buy the new version at a discount.
The upgrade is simply a purchasing price deal. If you already own either version of the previous kids, you can buy at the upgrade price. During installation, the installer checks to see if you have the required mesh installed (so it's important to make sure you have the Mil Boys/Girls currently in your runtime!) The old files are not overwritten, so you end up with your existing versions as well as the new ones. Laura will take some of V3's injections straight out of the box, if she has channels which are named the same. She will not take, for example, the Voluptuous morph. I assume Luke/M3 are similar, but haven't experimented.

As said, if you already own the mil gitls/boys you can buy that package and save some money. You won't be disappointed, they bend better than they used to. You can add all the V3 morphs to teens, using Morph Manager. You will need to use most of the dial settings at about half of what you would use on V3, but they work quite well otherwise.
Does SP3 take V3 morphs? I actually am looking for a short stature grown woman for the least money possible... low-poly would be best. I am waiting for SP3RR which will probably never come out. I shelled out for the V3 morphs when they were on sale incase I ever upgrade my computer, but given my difficulty with V3 I am loath to shell out for SP3 and the morph packs. BTW, I Hate INJ, I just can't figure it out... I can't stand what is involved in using REM after doing full-body morphs. Any solution for how to make a good 5'2" woman with some light to middling body fat would be apreciated. I have never had much luck scaling figures P3-P6.

Soo, basically youre looking for a kind of "NEA-Petite" ?
^-^
Mostly done by scaling, except for the hip and abdomen, so that Posettes clothes still could be made to fit without too much work.
Yamatos improved JointParameters cause a bad deformation if you try to rescale the thighs y-size, but I didnt want to go back to the bad original Posette Joints, either, so I had to make new ones for the hip and thighs.

I was clicking around DAZ and found an upgrade to "Millennium Kids - Young Teens Upgrade" from "Millennium Boys or the Millennium Girls" but I don't get how this works since isn't the former an INJ/REM Uni-mesh and the latter a Millenium mesh with .cr2 morphs? I searched the threads here and did not find anything, but there were references to the shoulder joints being better than with other DAZ figures... is this true?
