Actually, P6 finally has MAT files incorporated in the program. You can save a material as a material collection in the Material Room - and a material collection behaves exactly like a MAT pose in earlier versions of Poser. Since material collections are a feature of Poser 6, and MAT poses are actually "hacks", I'd recommend making material collections.

I hadn't looked into Material Collections in P6 yet. Actually for the sake of creating backward compatible MAT files I'd stick with the MAT Poses. The MAT Pose Edit should do you fine, I've been using it for the past week and haven't had a problem. Hack or not.

I made some clothing items for Poser 6 characters, and I also made some textures. Now, I want to make MAT files for them. I had been using Netherwork's P5Matfile python script, but I keep getting errors in Poser 6. Does anybody have a utility or a way to make Poser 6 MAT files? I'd gladly appreciate it. -The Starkdog
