Hi. I have come here to the poser forum to ask a small favor of you. I have made a texture set for V3, but I don't own Poser and really just don't have the cash for it, and I need to make MAT files for a product I'd like to sell. I own V3 and her morphs, and only DAZ | Studio. I plan on buying Poser, but that won't be for a long time, and I'd like to get my product out on the market here sooner. I can't pay anything, but I'd gladly give you credit on the product page for making the MAT files for me plus a fre copy for yourself. :D I'm not even sure how the whole poser thing works with making MAT files, so you'd be working with a newbie. :P
Anyway, check out the following gallery images for images of the product I'm planning to sell:

Of course I'll gladly send more images if anybody's interested. :D Thanks! :D

Wow, stunning texture and the renders are lovely. :) I wish I had time to help, I'm sure someone else will come along though. Have you chosen a name yet? If not I vote for Nicole or Elizabeth. ;)

Beautiful! I'd be more than happy to do this for you if you haven't had any offers.

Hmm....I like that name too. :D If you've ever seen "The Banger Sisters", then Goldie Hawn plays a woman named Suzette. :D Hmm....:D Donna

originalkitten ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 6:29 PM

oh I havent...when I met Suzette that was the first time I'd ever heard the name and I just fell in love with it. I thought it was such a nice name.....and she's such a nice person too.

Yeah, I've met people like that before with names I'd never even heard but pretty much fell in love with their names and them. :P Tuulia is a girl I met a while back and we've been friends ever since...love that name. Reminds me of Tulips...the flowers. lol Donna

originalkitten ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 6:35 PM

oooh yeah that is a beautiful name...very unusual too...I just got a plain name....nothing special lol..Anne-Louise but I get Louise....and my American friends (I'm british) call me Weezer or Weezie lol....

LiquidRust ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 6:38 PM

Weezie?! lol. My name's Donna Michelle, and although there's nothing unusual about it, people seem to twist it into Donnie and Shelly....and the latest my sis is calling me...Donnetellie. No idea where that one came from, but oh well...I guess Donna is too hard to pronounce. :P lol Donna

originalkitten ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 6:42 PM

lmao I like Donnetellie its so cute.....my 2 sons (10 and nearly 7) like to call me Louie to annoy me....or the youngest Ian calls me Wedgie head....help lmao

LiquidRust ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 6:49 PM

lol. Good news, I think I may have gotten someone to do the mats for me. Yay! I think maybe all kids have a wicked sense of humor. :P My little sister is such a goofball...she's 6 and she just LOVES to irritate you....she'll mimic what you're doing and saying for hours! :P Donna

originalkitten ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 6:51 PM

Those renders are beautiful!

LiquidRust ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 7:12 PM

:D Thanks! Does anybody know how much I should charge? Also, I forgot to mention she comes with body gloves....jeans, tops, lounge clothes, undies....and a bikini. :d Sorry, just had to add that extra little bit of info :P

Ben_Dover ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 7:28 PM

I'd say a good price range would be $10-15, maybe do a release sale price of $10 and bump it to 15 after a week. Good luck with your sales! =) BTW, I think Donnietellie is a play on the name Donatello. You can take your pick which one you think it is, the master - http://gallery.euroweb.hu/bio/d/donatell/biograph.html or the ninja turtle - http://www.kidzworld.com/site/p5610.htm Since it's being used by a 6 y.o. I'm afraid you're in the turtle category, as far as I can tell. ;)

She's a beauty! Great textures. Would you be interested in having a set of P6 Material collections made? Those are the Poser 6 equivalents of MAT poses (though MAT poses still work). If you do, your product would be one of the first to support Poser 6 specific options, could give you a competitive edge on the market.

LOL. Yay! I'm a turtle! :P 10 bucks sounds like a great price. Thanks! :D Donna

LiquidRust ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 7:31 PM

svdl..I'll PM you.

momodot ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 8:37 PM

2nd skin... that is great. Second skin is good for people with small computers like mine. I wonder if you should do a bump or displacement map for the clothes... I have made these myself but I have not seen them included for 2nd skin clothes in a product. I'm sure someone must have done this but I havn't seen it.

Acadia ( ) posted Mon, 05 September 2005 at 8:46 PM

Love the Texture!!! Put the money you earn from the sales aside and you can buy Poser :) It's a gorgeous texture I'm sure you will have several sales.

Momodot: The seond skin/body glove has bump maps and displacemtns so the folds of the clothes actually stick out and look more real. The bumps are to add texture to whatever the article of clothing is. Acadia: That's what I was planning to do actually. :D I'm also slowly saving to buy a new computer, but this one I have now will of course run Poser...it's just a matter of saving. :D Donna

Well, the textures actually look decent, but I still stand by my prophecy from a couple of days ago...
