Subject: Why does everyone hate the Winter Queen so much?
I saw one the other day about the Winter Queen, about how she is garbage. Sorry, I just re-read your post in the 10 year anniversary thread, and I now realize you weren't beating on the Winter Queen. I guess between the comments I have seen, and the lack of images in the gallery, I figured people weren't happy with her. Ah well, my fault for assuming I guess.

Exactly -- I don't think that many people actively "hate" the Winter Queen.
It's more a matter of people being apathetic about her. If you happen to be into women with wings, then I suppose that she'd be fine.........
She's just another seldom-used Poser figure. And there are a ton of those out there besides the Winter Queen.
I only complain when needed and I have't complained about the WQ at all. I do think she's great! Don't recall many hate threads on her at all.
I've used her only once with wings and a few times without the wings.

Okay okay... I saw a couple of negative postings for her way back when P6 first came out, and I saw one the other day. Then I saw one today that I thought was negative toward her, and I just figured I would ask the question. I really wasn't trying to start a flame war on this one, I promise! ;-) Acadia, Winter Queen was a "character" that came with the early adopter version of P6. The deal with P6, and ShadeLE. She is just the Jessi model with angel wings, and a sort of greco-roman outfit. Not a big deal. If you want to see exactly how she looks, take a look at Mizrael's gallery, and look at the Winter Queen image. Mizrael, I have to say, I like the Fall Queen best of them. I like the coloring of her to match the scenery in that one.
Thanks for explaining. To me Jessie looks like a Transvestite. I much prefer V3. I also like the look of Miki, even though I can't use the figure in Poser 5, but Jessie is just butt ugly.

Marque, your render looks great but I am not sure the CJITWWANS will ever catch on. Its kind of hard to say. :O)Actually, I rather liked the Winter Queen. Check out my Conflict in the Garden of Good and Evil, in the gallery.
Rob, your art is beautiful, but that still doesn't change my opinion that Jessi looks like a transvestite. I have some gay friends that do the female thing at Halloween, and there are some guys that can pull off dressing like a woman and get away with it. Jessi doesn't look like one of those, hehe

I like that set but I completely forgot that I had it. ;o)) I put all my files in different runtimes but the files that came with Poser 6 are in P6 runtime so that's why I forgot her. ;o)

Its funny the importance that some people does to some 3D models. Each new release you have two streams of I LOVE/I HATE. This one about the Winter Queen is a repetition of previous thread with TheGirl, Aiko3, V3, etc. etc. Would funny also in each new release of a model they would include for example: JOIN WOOLOOMOOLOO MINIMUS FAN CLUB AND QUICK THE ASS OF ALL THESE FUTURE WOOLOOMOOLOO MINIMUS ENEMIES AND THEIR "I HATE WOOLOOMOOLOO MINIMUS" (whoahahaha)

I don't know why so many people are complaining about the Winter Queen. I think she is a fantastic figure. I just started working with her over the holiday weekend, and I love the outfit and wings. Granted, she is still the same old Jessi, but those wings alone are worth it. I will admit, I am not very fond of the hair, but that is easy enough to replace. I think the shoes are nice, as well as the breastplate. I plan on doing some texture work with the skirt, or whatever they want to call it, but that is about it. Otherwise, she is going to make a helluvan angel, fighting off demons who look strangely like the Freak, or Vicky...
