Hiya folks!!!! Last night we had another one of those "phenomenas" and this time i thought i would take a few shots for our beloved Kort, seeing how he asked for some earlier. Unfortunatly it was really windy and it was almost impossible getting my tripod to remain steadily anchored for a longer period of time. So most of the shots came out quite blurry. So i decided to rush up to the lake to see if the wind was calmer up there, and it was. But by the time i got there the light didnt shine as bright as it had done earlier. So this is probably the best one i got last night. Hopefully well have some more tonight as well. Weve had them the last nights so who knows. Quite common were i live, especially during winter so then im definitly gonna capture some good ones....i hope....bla bla....ooooh...back hurts....laying down now...just had to whine a little, lol....sigh. Have a wonderful saturday everyone!!!! Andreas ![dork.gif](http://market.renderosity.com/~carrara/emoticons/dork.gif)

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Very cool, even if it wasn't as bright! You HAVE to take more! I don't get to see things like this either. You have the best sunsets/sunrises and mist I have ever seen....so yes, please....more of these. cute.gif

Beautiful!...I have not been able to capture them since the shots I took on July 18th....every time they are supposed to show, it seems to be cloudy!!!! For those interested, the attached link identifies anticipated Northern Light activity.

In youth, we learn....with age, we understand.

Haha!! That's why I never speak French with the French people! I know how annoying it is for others, who do not speak the language! ;)

Margana ( ) posted Sun, 11 September 2005 at 12:21 PM

I don't speak french or swedish so I'm really in the dark! :( Pascale,I've never seen you do that, start speaking in here in french I mean. It's frustrating for those of us who don't understand and then feel we can't participate. So I appreciate that you are sensitive to that. Of course I could always use a translator... but we all know how reliable and successful those are! Hope you enjoy whats left of your Sunday guys!

Yep Marlene, they can be funny. At least they give you a basic idea of what is being said. Wow Andreas! Thanks for posting this "for me". Hahaha, I didn't realize I was beloved. Feels nice. ;oP Those are some fabulous shots you got there really! I am quite impressed, even if they are not as bright as you hoped. We don't get them at all so this is great to me. Andreas, check out the link below and consider entering these. I think you'd have a good chance! 8o] Oops, just read the rules and you are not in the US so it doesn't apply. Sorry. But maybe someone else can give it a go.

Wowww!! That is one Amazing pano Andreas! The water looks like a glass mirror and those colors are out of this world!!! Fantastic ... whew!!! I can't wait to see more! We are able to see a very mild version of these lights at certain times of the year if ...IF...the weather cooperates. Nothing as deep and rich as the color you have captured in your images above though. Beautiful! :-)

Love, Light and Laughter  ~ :-)

Maybe you can get some more shots??? =o] Space Weather News for Sept. 14, 2004 http://spaceweather.com Sunspot 798/808 flared twice more yesterday, and at least one of the X-class explosions propelled a coronal mass ejection (CME) toward Earth. NOAA forecasters estimate a 70% chance of severe geomagnetic activity when the CME arrives--perhaps tonight, Sept. 14-15. Sky watchers at all latitudes should be alert for auroras. Observing tips: Although auroras are sometimes bright enough to shine through city lights, you'll see more from a dark-sky site in the countryside. The best time to look is usually during the hours around local midnight. Visit http://spaceweather.com for more information and updates.
