Well...at least one of the band members is happy!!! YAY!!! :) *sigh of relief* I copied and pasted some of what he wrote in emails. Sheila, "I love black & white photography ... I thought that style was dead. Glad to see someone is doing it. A hundred years ago, I used to be a photo nut. I've got a couple of nikons." "I Loved the images you sent. I think they are just too cool. I suppose this means we both have unusual tastes. Theres a worry - two of us on one planet. Thanks again for the wonderful pictures. When we need an "official" band picture, I now know who we can call. You do great work!!!! Thanks again." "I've been telling everyone about you guys." ********************************************************** i had warned him i have very unusual tastes and like weird stuff. i told him i would show him some images i made in the style i dig...but told him i made them just for fun for me. i was just goofin' off but loved the results! decided "what the hell" and sent him some samples. Surprise! he liked them! curious what ya'all think. :) wish i had the email addys off the other band members. Brenda just got a computer...don't even know if she has it unpacked. I'm printing images...OMG...LOVE my Epsom!!! and these posterized images look FABULOUS on paper!!! :) Thanks for looking and for your feedback guys!!! :)

there you go!! he luved them!! they all will! & i like these posterized ones too.. ecspecially in b/w, or you can even use one color :]

tvernuccio ( ) posted Fri, 16 September 2005 at 12:39 PM

hey...how neat you guys like these posterized images! i didn't think anyone else would like them!!! Maybe i'm not so weird after all! :) we're making them each a personalized CD. kemal thought it would be a cool idea to use a posterized image as a CD label, and i agree! :) Talked to Brenda for a minute today. she saw kemal's pic on the opening page and LOVED it...said the band member who wrote the above comments to me called her and just kept going on and on about the pics! She said her computer is so slow and she didn't feel well last night to sit and wait for them to upload. i just hope i don't disappoint her and the rest of the guys. i disappointed myself. i'll be glad when i have a few more years experience under my belt!!!! :) Thanks for looking and your feedback, guys!!! :)

Well done Sheila...sure to please!

cynlee ( ) posted Fri, 16 September 2005 at 12:52 PM

absolutely sheila!! the posterization gives them a graphic quality, would look swell with the right font & make splendid cd covers!! (not goofy & personal preferences should never be confused with disappointment, believe in yourself, we do & sure the band does too! :) Thanks for showing us these, really do think you have something here

Like these a lot Shiela - coloured ones are my favourite :)

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

I love that!!! #2 and #5 are my favs here but I also love #1 and #3! Well, I love them all actually!! This is wicked and SO perfect for a CD cover indeed!!!

I like 1,2 and 5! A very cool effect and perfect for a CD cover! I think you did very well here! Brenda :)

Thanks a BUNCH guys for your feedback!!! :) Wow!!! I'm surprised ya'all like this stuff!!! LOL! :) i honestly didn't expect anyone else to dig this! go figure! :) we're gonna use these as CD LABELS...not as CD covers. Our Epson printer prints CD labels DIRECTLY ONTO the CD!!! pretty nifty, huh! Brenda does want us to make their CD cover, but they want us to shoot them in a corvette and use one of those! she left me a note in our guestbook...said she loved the pics and can't wait to work with us again. i hope i hope i hope she's truly happy!!! oh and get this. The band member who wrote all those comments i quoted at the beginning of this thread...he used to be a photojournalist! OMG, i'm just thankful i didn't know that before the shoot 'cause i would have been shaking 10 times as hard as i was!!! LOL! thanks again guys for your feedback and support!!! :)
