I know I'm always pushing the astronomy photos from APOD, but some of them can be quite breathtaking, like the one they showed today. Take a look, and use the Calendar link at the bottom to skim over past APODs. A great site for astronomy enthusiasts AND photographers.

I've seen that gallery Joe, very neat stuff there. And yes Doug, I have seen every day for the past several years, lol! I even went back to the start and reviewed the ones I missed. I love the fact that they have a hi-rez option most of the time, and that Saturn is to die for! --Kort

Both are lovely images Kort! I could get into that kind of photography. I have a freind in another community that has done this kind of thing! Those northern lights are gorgeous! I think ALaska is the place to be this time of year if I am not mistaken! Brenda :)

It sure is, and over by Andreas too it seems. Too much light pollution down here for me to even try...will have to wait until I make a move out into the vast wilderness. :)
