Oh I don't think I'll lose it totally, I still have the originals, it was just the idea of having to reinstall all the content into the new Daz that appalled me, MY content I mean, not what comes with Daz as THEIR content. Sounds like you're saying I won't have to do that? Good. Very VERY good! That'll say me aeons of time. Thanks all.

Always Backup your own content. To a cd or dvd and to another drive if possible. I've seen way too much tears and anger over lost stuff.I thought I lost some photos, I deleted them thinking I had a backup and did not. Then I found out that even when you delete something it may still be on your harddrive even if you have emptied the recyle bin, though you cant see it. It remains there until some other file needs that space on the drive. I used a program that can find those deleted files and recoverd the photos, none had been overwritten yet. A pain to do but a Happy Ending. A backup would have ben way easier. Sorry don't recall the name of that utility.

Fran i always install a new version of daz over the old. I have not lost any of the contents i have in it at the time. When installing a new version you will get the message that DAZ wants to unistall the old version, just let it everything will be fine..
I have opinions of my own -- strong
opinions -- but I don't always agree with them.
I did - yesterday. Everything's fine... so far.

I just finished downloading Daz Studio 1.0/Bryce5.5c and all the content for Daz Studio plus that Power Pose thing. Only Bryce 5.5c wants Daz 1.0 installed first, and Daz wants to UNinstall the previous version of Daz - what do I do about all the stuff I've installed to Daz, like my ruins, my dragons, the beard, clothes etc etc??? Help? Fran
