Show me your favorite ZOO animal image. I am kind of looking for non domestic animals (IE= no cats , no dogs). It can also be from placed like Sea World , Wild animal parks things like that. The Bigger Mammal the better.

I went to the animal fair the bird and bee's were there , the big baboon by the light of the moon was combing his auburn hair . The Monkey he got drunk and sat on the Elephants trunk , the elephants sneezed and fell to his knees and that was the end of the monk the monk .... This image is a baby Rino from the local San Diego Zoo . It has a goat buddy that it plays with . Its kind of funny to watch them horse play around and chase each other. The goat give the rino a good head butt and the tom foolery begins.

I love that shot Cindy!I think it might have been the very first one I saw of yours actually... I know there are many who hate zoos on a matter of principle, but they actually do accomplish a great deal of good as well...like rescuing species from extinction for one... So on that note, here is a pic I took at a local 'petting zoo' where they also rehabilitate wounded animals. Tasquah...adorable baby rhino by the way.I honestly didn't know what it was!

well, my fav. zoo animals are orangutans, gorillas, elephants, polar bears, meerkats, etc. You get the picture! anyway, i can't capture a decent orangutan or gorilla picture to save my soul (very hard thru glass and they're RARELY outdoors), so here's a guy i LOVE!!!! he so huggable, isn't he!!!!

awwww...what a cute baby rhino! and i remember that image, Cindy!!! so funny! edit: Marlene...i crossed with you! glad to hear you have such a neat place like that!!!!! wish we had a place like that here! gorgeous owl! i love them too but i rarely get a good look at them at our zoo. can't believe how close you got!!! fantastic!

Even though it is a zoo, these creatures have miles of natural habitat to roam in. I wish for such a life.

Man, you guys have some terrific shots here. All of them. I love that rhino tasqueh...great Simon theme too. Cyn...always love that funny shot...hope you are online and able to do the next Simone. ;] Marlene, you shot is a hoot! Shelia, yours is almost unbearable! ;P That is one horny fella Doug! A regal and elegant eagle Nikki. Awwww. that IS cute Pat...not a word I usually use with camels. And Joe...WOW! What a stunner of a shot. I'm not a big fan of Zoos. They serve a purpose, but I can't help but feel bad for the animals. I shot this photo of an albino peacock at a wildlife refuge -- hope that counts! :)

Here's mine! This is my fav for a couple reasons. First, I just love the pose. He is so cute. The other reason is this is one of the only shots I got that the other photographer that was following me around didn't get....she was on the phone, and the bears left as soon as she brought her cam up to shoot. hehe (some of you might remember that story, if not, it was some lady I didn't know following me around, shooting practically over my shoulder). I know....blah blah blah. ;)

Ok, got to put a better one up that the gorillas. Again, scanned from a photo from the old Pentax. I think that is an ornyx(?) to the right of the zebras.
