Geocities blocks images from being viewed offsite, so this happens with any images hosted there. Renderosity has a file locker service that's available for such a task. there's also photobucket, and several other free image hosting services out there.

They are correct, Geocities will not allow off site linking. Also, I'm not sure but if you freebie is hosted through Geocities that maybe a problem as well.
The File locker is a great idea. I personally use it and Photobucket.com. Your file locker can be found on your "Homepage" click to manage your homepage and you will see "File Locker". It will tell you how much space you have.. and even give you the addy for you to link your image to. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask!!

Randym is correct, I had forgotten about their "pay sites" now. (Its been along time since i've been on Geocities) Yes it does say on the site that Plus and Pro Can have direct linking. I'm not the Moderator that takes care of the Freestuff.. but i'm going to say the size is quite big. Let me check on this first. :) Ryuslilangel Poser Moderator

Hi, Your thumbnail was displaying a red X, therefore I removed it from your upload. If you press the Edit link under your freestuff, you can add a new one. If you have free hosting at Geocities, then they won't allow remote linking. Cheers! Karen :-)

Gads... I can't stand the suspense. I've uploaded your thumbnail to the RM server Countach, it will remain there until we die or you ask me to remove the file. ;) No charge.Paste the above link into your freestuff edit, let me know if you ever see a problem.

May be geocities doesn't allow linking to images in websites but if u use an image that is only stored there, no problem. I did it sometimes and until now it works unless the max download is reached. You can check it with the link above.Message edited on: 09/29/2005 02:32

I recently posted a prop of a toilie and urinal in the free section. The thumbnail did not show up, however. The image I supplied is available at http://www.geocities.com/mark_reynolds15/Toilet_Urinal.jpg Is there a problem accessing it? Or was there some other problem? Would it be possible to post it in the gallery and use that as the reference for the thumbnail? I would appreciate any info on this, thank you.
