Thought I'd post a note that DAZ3D has just posted the new free model of the week. (Sorry for the delay from our reported schedule.) It is a fun cartoon dog that is designed to be compatible with last week's free model, "The Cartoon Kids," and the new figures included in the Poser Pro Pack. Be sure to get it because we are going to have a contest based around these Cartoon Kids and Dog. Curious Labs has agreed to be one of the co-sponsors of the contest, and we are still looking for some additional sponsors before we announce all the details. Just wanted to reiterate my wish that animators receive more time for the contest. In other words, please have two categories: Still Art and Animations. Animations generally take MANY MANY more hours to complete. Thanks! -Tim

Great images. Just the sort of thing that we were hoping to see created with them. As for the CAT, I will talk to our guys about the possibility of when we could do one. Tim, we will do a separate categorie for animation and will try to give it longer. Part of the reason to announce this earlier is to encourage people to get started on creating images now so they would have more time. I have received only a few suggestion on categories for the contest Please send some ideas. Thanks, Dan Farr

Thanks for the wonderful characters ... the Freebie was acting weird in IE but I went in Netscape and it worked fine. Great cartoony figs
