Subject: A couple easy questions about Poser6

I bought Poser 6 about two months ago to replace my old Poser4 but have not really tried it much. My main question is this: Many of the files i've purchased before are poser4 or poser pro pack only. I know these will work in Poser 6, but what exactly would the difference be if I loaded up the pro pack versions of an item as opposed to the regular poser 4 version? I don't really know much about pro pack as far as what it does to actual files. Another thing I've noticed is that for some reason I have poser 5 figures Don and Judy. This is fine, but they are wearing their own clothes and there seems to be no nude version, which makes them both pretty useless unless you are trying to just fill out a scene. Anyone know if they have said anything abiout getting us a more usable Don and Judy? Or is there a way to negate the clothes without deleting her so we can put them in clothing that's more suitable for our scenes? Also for some reason Jessie seems to have the biggest feet i've ever seen on a 3d model, just doesnt look right especially with the shoes they include for her. Does anyone know if there is a more humanlike foot morph for her- not a heel or toe morph to fit shoes, but one to make her feet less wide and odd? Compared to the V3 model, which looks like a normal person's to me Jessie's just don't look right. I'm enjoying messing about with the program alot though, its pretty cool. Thanks in advance.

Jessie's feet remind me of my Mum :) I don't know fo a morph for ti though. I do have the Ultimate Jessi Body Morph collection and Head Morphs as well. But I hadn't looked into it. As far as I know the Prop Pack version support a higher Resolution although I'm not specifically sure what the difference is. However if you have both Pro Pack and Poser 4 versions you can get rid of the Poser 4 ones and just keep the Pro Pack ones.

Only your mind limits yourImagination. Let it free.

I don't know what the deal with the Pro Pack stuff, but everything should work fine in P6. As for Don and Judy, there should be nude versions. Did you do a full Poser6 install? Also, make sure you get the content update from e-Frontier. (You can get it on Content Paradise as well.) Also, make sure you get the SR1 update. Jessi has been discussed a lot. I have said many times she is ugly, and looks quite like an extra from a really bad Sci-Fi channel movie. I don't know of any morphs that will fix her feet while keeping her the same as out of the box, however, you can pick up Glamorous Jessi which makes Jessi much more attractive. It may be available here, I can't remember, but it is definitely available through Content Paradise. Hope this helps!

but what exactly would the difference be if I loaded up the pro pack versions of an item as opposed to the regular poser 4 version With DAZ-stuff the difference lies in the textures. As far as I remeber, the old version tries to put bump maps in the old .bum-file format which is'nt supported in P5 and P6 any more. They use jpg or tif for bumpmaps which makes them much easier to open in programs like Photoshop. The Propack version uses this new file format. By the way: DAZ never takes advantage of all the new material room features of P5 and P6 so there is plenty of room for your own improvements.

As for Don and Judy question... I upgraded from Poser 4 too, and in order to get the nude versions of the figure as well as the clothing you have to d/l Poser 5 contents from Content Paradise. It's a biggie!

Thanks everyone, that helps me out alot. I guess I will ditch the p4 files and go with the pro files for the content I have and then the newer stuff will take care of itself more or less. As far as the missing files for Don and Judy, I did do a full instal and I thought I got all the Poser 6 updates and content patches that I saw. So Kalon what you are saying is that to get these files I actually have to download a poser 5 content pack? Is this something that will basically read on their website as being poser 5 for poser 6 use or will it say that it is a poser 5 update that when updated works for poser 6? Thanks everyone for your time. :)
