Subject: there's still quite a few little bugs in latest Vue I - where to report

Is the beta forum stil active? For example when I change the highlights and reflections but I save that without the texture maps so I can reapply to other parts of my scene, it applies the old texture map anyway. Love esther

Don't really understand, here Esther. You change the highlights and reflections of a material, and save without the material, How can you save just parts of a material?

Esther, if you think it is a bug, report it to technical support on the e-on page. If so, try to supply screenshots to make clear what you have done. Oh, i think i understand now. You switched off the "with texture maps..." (I am at home without Vue to check for the correct words). But that only means that the texture is not embedded into the material (or object or scene) file. It does not mean the textures are stripped out there. Is that understanding correct? But you can email me as well so that maybe i try to verify it on my Mac. Sometimes 4 eyes see more than two. I will be back to office on Tuesday.

I don't understand what you mean either, Esther. What exactly are you changing the textures on? What are you saving? Could you be more clear?

As Walther said, you report tech issues at the technical support area @ e-on. And the more specific information you can give them, the better.

Well when I go into the materials editor and make a change, eg the highlight colour, there is a button on the bottom right of the screen to save that material, and there is a check box to save it with or without the texture map, but I saved it without the texture map, but when I then applied it to a different material it must have saved with the texture map because it changed my texture map to the texure map of the previous material that I"d saved it from. Ok, exactly what i thought. The check box does not mean that the texture is stripped out, it only asks for embedding the texture into the mat-file or not. So that you have the choice wether the mat-file is bigger (with texture) and more flexible (to pass it over to other computers) or not.

Texture map here means an image that you used to make your material, like in the color tab, you choose image map instead of procedural color.
