Hi all, just finished a render of my first effort at an Alien Landscape, from the discussions we've been having lately. I guess I got fired up enough to actually get something done - for a change. Let me know what I can do to improve things.

Interesting take on an alien environment! I like your plants too. Guess I'll have to come up with something now, lol.

Plants... hmmm, I guess they could be. I was thinking of them as pesky little critters, thus the 'Picker' dealing with the pink one. Yup, your turn now!

Nice sky and stuff! Desperately needs a Shrubbery!

Bryster, a shrubbery huh. LOL! Incarnadine, Sorry, forgot, turned them on now. UVDan, They are from Mat Creator's Digital Oddity, great aren't they? I liked them so much that it got me playing around in Wings, and I put the ball critter I made in Wings into the newer upload, played with sky, fog and haze a bit there too. And as Mat very kindly sent me some marvellous mats I've been playing with them too.

OK Fran - you have started something now.... I can't resist alien landscapes and weird critters...!!! So, here you go, I have posted my effort at the link above! Not as 'alien' as yours, I'm afraid I can't resist putting in the obligatory spaceship and 'exotic' alien city - as well as critters ;-) I went for the wierdass.net critters definitely weird! Garry

HI Fran, thanks for your kind comments on my posting.... The 'building' in the foreground is actually one of the Weirdass critters - follow the link and you will find both of the creatures... You will them see that I actually placed the pointy one upside down, and didn't texture it correctly... But hey - its looks weird, what more can you want? ;-) Garry

garryts, What's 'correctly'? I don't think there's any such thing, it's more a case of 'whatever works'. bandolin, I think that 'rust' is just a basic Bryce texture, but none the worse for that. Might perhaps have been better if the rust patches were a bit smaller... I may try that next time... Thanks for the comments. Hey, I've got a new version up, click the link if you wanna see.
