OH MY GOD!!!! So this is how it feels going through major withdrawl!!!! I havent been able to come on for 2 days and im mentally a wreck right now....I ACTUALLY HAD TO EARN MY PAY AT WORK!!!! Sigh!!!! The days become sooooooooo looooooooooooooooooooong when you dont have RR to browse through from work....sigh.. AAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! YAAAAAY!!! Its back up!!!! Sorry....just had to rant...see ya!!!

I had to use a workaround, once I found out from someone who can get here what the new IP address is. Here's what I did, in case anyone wants to know or pass it on (since obviously, if people can't get here they can't read this ;-). I couldn't at all, until I got the new IP address and added it to my hosts file. More information on the Windows hosts file: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm All I did was add these two lines: 66.18.106.197 renderosity.com 66.18.106.197 www.renderosity.com to c:windowssystem32driversetchosts and rebooted. Voila, Renderosity now answers perfectly. Note that this is the location of the hosts file for Windows XP. Other systems have it elsewhere (see the URL I gave for details and other technical things to consider). Also note that if R'sity changes their IP address again, you'll need to change your hosts file, or you'll be redirected to whatever IP is in your file."*

I wish I could be sure that would solve it for everyone, but I don't think it would. Since the problem is on and off, I don't think it is due to any propigation issues, though I could be wrong.

Im just gonna sit it out i think....not gonna mess with some host-files....cause i dont even know what they are, LOL. Great to see you on as well Cindy? At work we have this spot where all have to meet up in the event of an explosion of fire. That way we can see whos missing and we can organize a search-party...this sort of feels like that in a way. Lets all meet up and go out to look for RR-survivors, lol.

I make sure to clear cookies out everytime now. And cache.....seems to help. I don't mean just from the Temp internet files either. Or from Firefox browser tools. Type cookies in Search...go through them and delete any renderosity ones.You will get them back but in mean time...you are on. Besides it is good to clean that out from time to time.

awesome pictures Kort !! i love those .. well i read a 400 page book...!! it was strange cause i found the book sunday nite and thought i will never have time to read this ...( fantacy book lord of the ring ish called pigs dont fly by mary brown) if only i could tuen of rend for a few days but knowing my habbit i didnt think i coulc such a addict... so after rend was down i thought i caused it with my ill wishing ( not really but it passed my mind LOL) good that its up again.. dont know what you have till its gone...sigh)))) the book was awesome though and kept me from pulling all my hair out!
