Went there but immediately got bogged down...perhaps it's the traffic. Had only time to place one item (tree) in my shopping cart - saw it was copy-protected so think I will wait. I have had two materials that I purchased when the store first opened - I only had Vue 5 then, but then I purchased Vue 5 Infinite and of course those items won't work and I could not use them until the store reopened. I found I also could not create different mats with them and save them for use in Vue 5I either...this is annoying and unnecessary as well. :(
Before this discussion goes wild, i copy over a part from the other thread about the Cornucopia3D store reopening here - ChristieK did just some minutes ago. "Materials and atmospheres are not encrypted. You can alter and save materials and atmospheres." The plants will stay encrypted, as it always was with additional plants. For other things you have the choice - encrypted or not.

The plants that are encrypted are by E-on. Third party vendors who offer plants for sale will, I expect, have the choice whether they encrypt them or not.
I say 'I expect', because that is the current policy for third party or brokered content - the encryption choice is down to the vendor, as I understand it.
Maybe one day we should clarify what we mean by "plants". veg-files in my understanding are plants - based on SolidGrowth. XFrog stuff, or TreePro and similar ones i don't count as that. Can we agree on that? As far as i know, all SolidGrowth plants that come from e-on will be encrypted. How this will be with derivates from brokers i honestly don't know. We will see when that will happen. Shouldn't be too long until we have the first ones in the store. It is a decision e-on has to make, they are owners of the technology SolidGroth. But again, i don't know what will be.
