Hi, i don't use the clothroom all that often so i don't understand it too well. I just can't get the clothing to sit close to V3 shoulders without a gap. I haven't parented the clothing prop before i started as it never normally seems to be needed even though clothroom tutes recommend it, so i don't know if this has anything to do with my problem. i tried altering collision offset and depth in both directions and it didn't help. during this i did not notice any extrusion of polygons (when i increased collision depth) to increase clothing thickness, despite what it says in the poser 6 manual. love esther ps i tried constraining a few polys on the top of the shoulders of the cloth but all that achieved was to make the clothing not sit right - kind of bunched ion her chest

Hmmm. Lowering the collision offset and collision depth should give you the desired results.

Nice pic, by the way.

thanks Little Dragon - well i set them on 0.1 and it didn't help. i'll try .001 love esther

I recall reading a tip here in the forums, where, after running the cloth simulation, you use negative displacement on the cloth item to make it fit closer.

i think i tried zero collision depth and it crashed. i'm just trying CO of 0.1 (that's the lowest it lets me go) and collision depth of 0.001

Someone mentioned that he just used displacement to get the clothing closer to the body...

.1 and .01 work well for me and do not use constraints unless absoulutely neccessary if the cloth is stiff, make sure it lies very close to the body when beginning the drape so that it's volumn doesn't force it to hover above the body

Try parenting the cloth to the chest - this works for me.

okay, well other puter out of action so it wil lhave to wait but I will let you know. I don't want to have to use displacement as I render in vue. Love esther

I'm at my wits end. Collision offset goes no lower than 0.1 and doesn't go negative. I tried parenting the clohting to her chest - the problem continues. Even when I use the Y trans to move the strap of the top below her shoulders (i know theoretically you're not supposed to have poke through but the sim still worked) the clothing still ends up sitting slightly above the shoulders. What am I missing here? Love esther

I think I have it licked. Just rendering now. I only changed collision offeset for one of the things the clothing was coliding against. Boy you must all think I'm very silly. Well I've changed it to 0.1 for every single colliding item so I'm hoping this next pic will be better. Still rendering now. Love esther
