Subject: How do I optimize my PC?

I tried to load a pz3 and got a message that I did not have enough memory. Feh! I got scads of memory left over. The file was only 18meg. Even if I was out of resident memory for some reason virtual memory should have been up to it. 400+meg laying around. The book only talks about how to optimize a MAC... I don't have a MAC, I have a PC. Any solutions?

You got caught by the infamous false "out of memory" error message. ;-) You are not out of memory. The problem is that Poser can't find the .obj file that's refrenced in your .Pz3 file. So it throws out that error message. They got rid of that false message when they developed the ProPack. Future versions of Poser should not do this either. Open the .pz3 file in a text editor like WordPad. And see what .obj file it needs to open. Then see if you actually have that file on your computer. And simply change the path in the .pz3 file to match where it's located on your machine. ScottA

Search for "figureResFile" that is the start of the line you want.

There will be more than one instance of that line, depending on how many objects are referenced in the Pz3
