Subject: Need an Invisible Charactor for Halloween?

Philywebrider ( ) posted Mon, 10 October 2005 at 4:49 AM ยท edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 8:18 AM

Need an invisible character for Halloween, a ghost, a spirit, etc? I'm thinking of making a totaly invisible character. It would be ultra realistic, totaly invisible and have a guarantee that you would see absolutey nothing. It would take up no memory, and comes with a pose pack, an expression pack, and a morph pack to make it male or female, and yes they are TOTALY invisible. Educators note: My invisible figures will be suitable for all ages. While highly detailed and anatomically correct, they ARE invisible. There will be an educational discount. I'm will be putting out several complete lines of clothing , also totaly invisible. The clothing will cover, (invisibilty of course), eras from cave man to the far future. and listen to this...the clothing will fit ALL...I repeat...ALL, poser figures, (invisibilty) without ANY modifications. A real breakthrough. There will also be a complete line of invisible textures. There will also be invisible props.and accessories. ALL items will be GUARANTEED invisible. I have 'not seen' any of my items anywhere, but being invisible I'm not sure if what I'm 'not seeing' is my items being used without my permission. So if you don't see anything...it may be mine. I'm trying to establish a price range for these items, any suggestions.

rasputina ( ) posted Mon, 10 October 2005 at 7:35 AM

This range, naturally, will be available at Turbosquid,no? lol

dialyn ( ) posted Mon, 10 October 2005 at 7:41 AM

You know, I bet you could put a $900 price tag on an invisible item, and someone would buy it. Afterall, some people auctioned off Tom Cruise's breath (wasn't it Tom Cruise...maybe some other star...all air looks alike to me). I don't know why they wanted it, but apparently there are people out there with more money than brains.

Outta sight! This will be a great asset to blind 3D enthusiasts! I've been looking for invisible items for months, but I couldn't find anything appropriate. Only unsightly erotica props. You say your items will cover the entire gamut of human prehistory, history AND the far-flung future? What a spectrum!! Unfortunately, my wallet is empty (although maybe it is STUFFED with invisble money), however i'm also willing to send an invisible check. If it doesn't arrive, consider my order paid advance. Please post some images. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for this collection!

FireMonkey ( ) posted Tue, 11 October 2005 at 3:53 AM

I'll pay $900 ... as long as you don't mind accepting an invisible check [grin]

After seeing Stonemason's Fantastic work I thought I'd do some invisible settings, interior and exterior. The style will be somewhat simular, but completely different...and invisible of course.

All settings will be compatable with Stonemasons products, and blend/merge invisiblty. All the settings you don't see will be completely original, and guaranteed invisible. You now will be able to develope very complex invisible scenes without taxing your rendering engine.

The settings will work well with all figures, but my invisible figures, clothing, props, etc., work best.

Lighting invisible figures is not a problem, a large number of invisible lighting set-ups are included in the package, (using invisible lights). Special effects, no problem, invisible Special Effects will be included, (not counting ease of use, fantastic renders, completely adaptable to all software).

To Stonemason...I apolgize in advance if I draw any customers away from your Amazing work, but that's the soul of competion.

resputina -Tubrsquid...it's an idea.

dialyn -$900.00! Even tho I spent many long hours working on the models and textures etc., I want to keep my prices reasonable.

oilscum -I can't find my invisible ink, so I couldn't sign your check. Invisible money is out because you shouldn't send money through the mail. Chances are the envelope would arrive empty.

I was thinking of posting some images. Maybe I could get some response to the detail, quality, texture, lighting of my invisible products.

Remember"...if you don't see anything, it's proably mine" :OP

Oh, yes, please post some images. You shouldn't post them using any Stonemason product though - folks will be looking at the backgrounds and not at your invisible product! You don't want to distract your customers from the product!

Raddar ( ) posted Tue, 11 October 2005 at 4:02 PM

Could you post a link where this package can be found? I just spent three hours combing the marketplace and I didn't see anything. >:(

Philywebrider ( ) posted Wed, 12 October 2005 at 2:58 AM

LonCray -A point well taken... Raddar -If you didn't see anything, you proably found it. I think this package is one of the best packages that you didn't/can't see that is available. You won't see ANY poor quality figures, textures, or props, clothing, etc. My beta testers did not see one problem in all the invisible items tested. Are there any invisible items, figures, etc.,that you do not want to see? It may be possible that I cound make them as part of an invisible package.

FireMonkey ( ) posted Wed, 12 October 2005 at 5:21 AM

I hear that Philywebrider has excellent credentials for this sort of thing ... seems there is an emperor who bought an entire wardrobe from Phily and the only complaint was from some kid who didn't understand...........

dialyn ( ) posted Wed, 12 October 2005 at 1:51 PM

Is Renderosity going to take transparent money so we can buy this product? Or Phantom Paypal? Or checks written with invisible ink? Or spectral credit cards? Fortunatley I've got a ton of nonexistent money when this comes on the market! (It's the real stuff I have trouble acquiring). Which makes me wonder, who will Renderosity have test it? Casper the ghost???

Philywebrider ( ) posted Wed, 12 October 2005 at 3:08 PM

Firemonkey -Not true! That was a fraud by person or persons who were tailors. Dialyn -Did you ever notice that in every cartoon Casper has no friends, then makes friends, but in the very next cartoon all his friends have mysteriously disappeared? I suspect foul play, Casper may not be as innocent as we are led to believe.

dialyn ( ) posted Wed, 12 October 2005 at 3:11 PM

You're right...we need to get CSI on that (Casper Spook Investigations).

Philywebrider ( ) posted Wed, 12 October 2005 at 3:19 PM

Dialyn -I don't think they stand a 'ghost' a chance on finding anything, but I think they would give a 'spirited' investigation.

dialyn ( ) posted Wed, 12 October 2005 at 3:37 PM

From what I hear, they don't spook easily, but they are frequently haunted by what they find.

oilscum ( ) posted Thu, 13 October 2005 at 3:44 AM ยท edited Thu, 13 October 2005 at 3:46 AM

Phily, I checked your artist page, gallery, and free stuff contributions and I marvelled at the invisible content. Truly you have mastered this new innovation! I cannot wait for your products to be released and used on a grand scale, especially by the artistically-challenged. I'm sure their work would improve immeasureably, and you'd be doing us all a service.

By the way, where can I get some of that bottled Tom Cruise breath?

Attached Link: http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,16776,00.html

It was really on Ebay in June and was, apologies, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie air (apologies; the old memory is not what it used ot be) and was part of a Celebrity Breath series. Alas, it was pulled because Ebay decided that it couldn't be proved that the air actually once flowed thorugh Brad and Angelina. In fact, I believe Phily might consider bidding out his invisible models there....his celebrity line would be particularly popular. And for all of us who miss having a childhood invisible friend...well, this is the answer. Perhaps he could use some Celebrity Breath molecules to make them even more realistic?

Chippsyann ( ) posted Thu, 13 October 2005 at 10:55 AM

I'm not sure but, could this be one of your Invisible charactors waiting for the subway? http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=1059904&Start=1&Artist=Chippsyann&ByArtist=Yes

dialyn ( ) posted Thu, 13 October 2005 at 11:14 AM

It strikes me this would make a great contest theme. :D Good job, Chippsyann.

Chippsyann ( ) posted Thu, 13 October 2005 at 11:26 AM

Will I have to create another image, or can I use the one I have? "And postwork would be a must"

Philywebrider ( ) posted Fri, 14 October 2005 at 3:56 AM

chippsyann -your subway image is great, I can see a fantistic rendering of a figure, but an 'invisible' figure is...well how can I say it...invisible. I can see you're getting the hang of it, (some parts 'are' invisible). My 'Invisible figure' will be out soon, (commerical plug). BTW - Dialyn has a terrific Package of an older man out, (check out the announcement here in the Showcase Forum), but please understand is is a 'visible' package.not to be confused with mine. Dialyn -I know when I'm out pun'ed. ;OP Contest...hmmmmmm...Maybe I could offer some invisible prizes. I should be posting some invisible images soon.

I found this online. I don't see anything, so it's probably one of your invisible characters. PM me if you want to know the site name where I found it... you may want to contact the site owner ;)

FireMonkey ( ) posted Fri, 14 October 2005 at 6:00 AM

That may not be an invisible character - it could be a solid black character seen in front of a solid black background.....

dialyn ( ) posted Fri, 14 October 2005 at 6:37 AM

I think you mean KymJ has a terrific older man package. All of my men are as invisible as Philywebrider's package. Wow, I bet you could get a million dollars for that black square in an art gallery.

Philywebrider ( ) posted Fri, 14 October 2005 at 12:39 PM ยท edited Fri, 14 October 2005 at 12:43 PM

Acadia -I think FireMonkey is right, since my package hasn't been released yet.

FireMonkey -you got good eye sight to see the unseen figure is not an invisible figure. Nice work!

Dialyn -So you're coming out with an invisible 'male' package. You're giving me competition already.

I wasn't actually referring to 3D models, but never mind. ;)

I have kids - I'm used to seeing the unseen [heh]
