Poser Technical F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 04 2:47 am)
Welcome to the Poser Technical Forum.
Where computer nerds can Pull out their slide rules and not get laughed at. Pocket protectors are not required. ;-)
This is the place you come to ask questions and share new ideas about using the internal file structure of Poser to push the program past it's normal limits.
New users are encouraged to read the FAQ sections here and on the Poser forum before asking questions.
I knew sooner or later this question was going to pop up. Remeber where you heard it first. ;-) You don't have to put either .rsr file in your .zips. But that will mean that the person will see that shrugging guy. And well.... That's not very professional. The solution: 1.)download the RSR Converter program by harper from the freestuff section here. 2.)convert the .png thumbnail in the PPP to a .pict file with any paint program like Photoshop,Paintshoppro,etc..... 3.)convert that .pict file to an .rsr thumbnail picture with the RSR Coverter program. And include that with your files. It's a little inconvenient. But doesn't take that long to do. And the people who download your files will apprieciate it. ScottA

If I create a model using Poser Pro Pack. the Pro Pack no longer creates a rsr file from the obj or cr2 files - ok, works fine in Pro Pack. However what if I want to post that model. With no rsr files I take it poser 4 will create the required rsr from the obj on loading and the absence of a rsr from the cr2 just means no picture in the libruary or can Poser 4 read the png files created by Pro Pack
