I've been trying to do some large renders of the same image, and keep getting the same problem - a kind of cheese grater effect, thin strips of the wrong color. I've tried changing textures to hide the problem, but it keeps happening. I've attached a small portion of the problem area. Can anyone help??

Increasing the displacement bounds of that object should fix it.

How do I do that please?

Double-click the object, that'll show the parms palette which contains a the displacement bounds.

Ok, found it...can I increase them too much??

going too far will not cause any damage other than slower rendering. Try something like 0.5 for a start, then work from there.

Ok thanks for your help!
