Subject: Downloading problems

Ken _Gilliland ( ) posted Sun, 04 March 2001 at 5:51 PM · edited Mon, 23 December 2024 at 2:19 PM

I'm having trouble accessing the files I just purchased. I click the "download button" and get a tiny ActiveX icon with a message that says "Click here for more information" I did and get a message that says, "There is no viewer for the type of object you are trying to open..." and a link to Microsoft's ActiveX Gallery. Any help would be appreciated.

Same as I run here at home. Look over your Security settings and make sure "Downloads - File Download" set to enabled. Also, do you have problems downloading files elsewhere through your browser? Your browser should be prompting you to save the file. If you continue having problems, we can email your purchases to you.

My settings are okay -- download is enabled and this is the only place I've had trouble downloading from... emailing to me is okay

susanne, sounds like you are having a connection problem. KenG was having trouble just starting the download. Like I told him, we can email the files to you if we need to. Just send an email to store@renderosity.com and they'll be happy to help.

Waking up this morning, it occured to me that I'm behind a hardware firewall, so I logged into the Firewall's DMZ this morning--- still didn't work... oh well,... Do I need to send an e-mial to the store, too?

I sent one for you KenG, but it might not hurt to send one yourself too.

I will talk my internet provider but I don't think it will help. Email the files isn't an answer either because I think the will get stuck ;-) Thanks for the offer though!!
