Subject: Is there a VUE INFINITE Academic version?

The full commercial version is quite expensive, is there a academic version we can have to train ourselves for a few dollars less? thanks

Yes, in fact there is - I've been checking it out myself. It's actually a lot less, it's only... $299, if I remember correctly, but I may be off by a hundred. It's on the e-on site, click on Infinite under the product listing "Vue Line", and go to pricing. I talked to a support guy there, and he said that there are no restrictions, except that we cannot use it for commercial ventures - though I suspect that we can sidegrade when we are ready to use it commercially. I'm in the middle of downloading this latest member of the Vue 5 family myself and it IMPORTS Poser, or so their advert says. Probably just still frame and not PZ3, but I couldn't beat the price!

I have the academic version of Vue 5 Infinite and it's exactly the same as the full version. Go for it!! :)

What do you mean, Canadian? Is it $299 Canadian, or $299 American? Wait a minute - I'm in Canada, I get the Canadian price! Score! Now I have to find a way to get three hundred bucks...

Actually, I meant as a Canadian I paid American prices for it :) $392.56 according to my credit card statement. :(

Not $90 to ship, or nothing would be coming up! Remember the exchange rate...our money is not worth the same as American money...so the difference in exchange plus shipping and handling brought it to $392.56. :)

Yeah. Forgot about the exchange rate. Do you know if you can pay the difference at a later time to get the full commercial licence (though who's gonna know, eh?)? -Zak

I guess if you started creating brilliant images that sold like hotcakes, everyone would know :) Yes, I should think there is some means of upgrading your copy to commercial version - probably money! :)
