Is there a GOOD, inexpensive, or free program out there that I can use to sign my images, that WILL NOT DEGRADE the image??? I ain`t cheap, just short on funds right now. I have a 3.0 ghz sys, windows xp home sp2, 1 gig of memory, 80gig internal, and 80gig ex. hard dirives, ati radeon x300se video card with 128mb of memoy.

Well, I mean, if you have Photoshop or Paintshop, those have text features, and saving as a TIFF doesn't degrade the image, as it leaves it uncompressed... Any program that can do text and save would do fine, right? Is this for print or Web primarily?

Do you mean digital watermarks that can be traced or just your signature ? Signature is easy emough, draw your sig and paste it over the image and make it semi-transparent then do save as. Theres a basic version of Digimark in photoshop if you want digital watermarks.

hi- Try this site for a ton of free graphics programs, among others. don't know if it's still there but satoriphotoXL is really good.

mejed you might like to download the free trial version of PhotoImpact and try it out. It's an excellent piece of software and you can easily create a "signature" with it. It's reasonably priced if you decide that you want to buy it. I've been using it for years, and I don't work for Ulead...just like their software and have beta tested many versions of the product. :) http://www.ulead.com/pi/trial.htm ...if you're interested in looking at it. Good luck... Kym

It has already been said but I'm saying it again - Gimp is the best free (Open Source) graphical editor.
